ive been set back a little
i went to see the doctor the other day for another issue, but briefly mentioned the ectopic and asked when it would be ok to ttc. he said he didnt know anything about methotrexate so didnt want to advise me
anyway, he said it would probably be safer to wait untill i see the consultant and to ask him, and asked if i had got my check-up appointment from him yet, i said no so he gave me his secretay's number to ring. well i just rang them and my appointment isnt untill july 8th, so i have been set back almost a month
***HERES THE UPDATE***
well i just rang the hospital where i was seen and spoke to the nurse. i told her i knew you had to wait for 3 months before TTC again, but i wanted to know 3 months from when. she then went off to ask the doctor and told me you have to wait 3 months from the day your treatment ended - when your beta HCG has reached non-pregnant levels. So she thinks it is best to wait to see the doc on 8th july and discuss it wth hm.
Now....i had loads of beta's done and mine reached below 5 (non pregnant level) on the 31st march, so in reality i will be safe to conceive 31st june, if there is a 31st, there might only be 30days in june .am i right???
but i am going to wait those extra few days and talk to the consultant, and if my calculatons are right i will be fertile from 23rd-27th july, so thats timed just right

I received the methotrexate shot back in February and my doctor told me that the drug remains in your system for approximately 20 days, but he did advise that I wait 2 to 3 cycles before TTC again. I hope this information helps.

Ugh, im sorry for the set back, but it will go by fast. I know that im the least patient person in the world, but i feel like there is a bigger plan out there for me, and if all you can do is wait, then thats all you really can do. I really hope your apt gets bumped up though hun.

thank you everybody. i just feel really, well, to be honest i cant explain how i feel now. just really down. and im taking it out on my family.
today i am going to ring the consultant see if i can speak to him, if not i am going to ring the ward where i was admitted to and given the methotrexate. there is always a doctor available to talk to on the ward, they where great before when ever i rang about my hcg, and the methotrexate.
when i was in hospital i was told it stays n your system for 3 months if you have one shot, and 6 months if you have 2 shots of methotrexate. and i had one shot, so i was told i cant get pregnant for 3 months. but i need to know 3 months from when??? is it 3 months from the date you had the shot?? oh, and i am on my 2nd cycle since the jab
