Hi everyone,
My name is Katie and I guess you could say I've been lurking at this board for a couple of weeks. I miscarried 3 weeks ago. Today I woke up with this horrible headache...I thought to myself, "Migraine headaches are hormonal..." Anyway I got to work and went to the bathroom and there was AF, at least I think it is AF. I was just wondering if some of you would mind sharing some of your experiences. I just don't know what to expect. Thank you and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Katie... I was in your DDC... not sure if you remember me. I'm sorry for your loss, but I think you will find that these girls are awesome! I look forward to getting to know you, jump right in!

As for me, the 1st m/c which I had in the beginning of Feb., I had some backache and then cramping... the doctor ordered hcg levels and it showed up really low. The next day, I started bleeding... and did for about 8 days. We ttc right away and ended up getting pg on the 2nd cycle after m/c.

This was my 2nd m/c for the Dec DDC. I didn't have any cramping, but had demanded hcg draws, which showed it not doubling as it should. I started bleeding maybe a week after my 1st draw, but only bled a little less than a period, so we kept an eye on the levels (Drawing blood 2 times per week for the last 3 weeks) and yesterday finally had the methotrexate injection to stop the growth.

Feel free to ask any questions, just pm me.

First off I want to say how sorry I am for your loss. I have had 2 losses. My first I had a D&C and my second was natural. I went 41 days with each before AF showed up for the first time. For me it was a medium flow. I hope that AF doesnt visit to long for you. Again I am so sorry for your loss.

Im so sorry for your loss hun. Welcome to the board. These women are great.

The rule of thumb is that if you dont have bleeding for 20 days after your m/c then once you do bleed it is af. So id assume thats where you are at. For me it took 30 days from my m/c i was 5w5d last time.

Again im so sorry, but please feel free to jump right in. Im glad you came out of lurkdom btw

Hi and

With all my m/c's I got AF just about 4 weeks after my m/c. My first AF's were pretty light. Once my second AF after a m/c was HORRIBLE. (That was the 4w one).

Welcome to the board.... feel free to jump right in. We are a bit wacky at time. but it's fun!

Hi Katie! Welcome to the TTCAL board! I'm so sorry for your loss, and I hope your stay here is short! The ladies are wonderful here, and I hope you jump right in with us.

As far as my experiences go, my loss in December was very strange with only minimal bleeding, and I found myself pregnant again on accident before my first cycle. The p/g didn't progress as it should though, and I ended up having a d&c at the end of February. It was almost 4 weeks to the day that af showed up again. It seems to vary with most women though. I think I would agree with you that it's probably af, and just see how she progresses.

Good luck, hun, and welcome!

Hi Katie!

I am glad you decided to introduce yourself and un-lurk yourself

I am so sorry for your loss. I had a m/c and D&C in November and then it was about 5 1/2 weeks before AF arrived. That one was pretty normal, not too heavy, not too light, although a couple since then have been a little wacky

Anyways, please stay and hang out with us! I look forward to getting to know you!

Ashley you crack me up!

Welcome Katie! I had my m/c April 10th, my AF showed up on May 3rd (23 days later). I had a natural m/c - but I don't know if that makes a difference or not. Everyone here is so willing to share their experiences - I'm sure one of us will be able to help you.

I am so osrry for your loss(((hugs))
I have had 5 m/c 4 natural and last one induced and 3 with d&c after for hemeraging. I got af on average about 6 to 7w weeks later and it was normal flow regardless of d&c after but still waiting on first af after a induced m/c at 17w pg. I would think you haveing your first af if your bleeding and not just spotting a day or 2.

Hi Katie!!

I am truly sorry for you loss but also wanted to welcome you to this board.

I had a m/c in November and AF arrived exactly 4 weeks later. I did notice that the first couple AFs we totally wacky and involved crazy cramping. I hope that you do not have these issues.

Please feel free to jump on in and if you have any questions along the way don't hesitate to ask.
