I thought I'd give you ladies a review, since I've used them the last couple times we BDed. For comparison, I also have a Diva cup that I use sometimes for AF.

Instead is very easy to insert, I think much easier than the Diva cup. The way it fits in also seems like it would hold the spermies in closer.

After I put it in and stood up, there was a little bit of leakage. After that though, no problems. I could hardly tell it was there (in contrast to Diva cup which kind of bugs me).

After I took it out, both times there was very little stuff left in there so it seems like it may have helped those sperm make their way into the cervix.

Hopefully it helps! We also used a little PreSeed during today's BD.

Oh and totally unrelated but I forgot to tell you girls...SNL made me think of it again. When Dh and I were taking his semen sample to the lab, he was driving and I was keeping it warm. So I ran in and dropped it off (and OF COURSE a couple came into the lobby right before I did so I had to be all sly so they wouldn't see my Dh's sperm ) Anyway, I come back out to the car and get in right as the radio starts playing Usher "I wanna make love in this club" And Dh and I just died of laughter.

I love the instead cups, I've been using them for almost eight years for my period. I did use them one cycle and I did get pregnant, but that is also the cycle I m/c in. I don't think the two are related, but I just haven't used them again.

I love the instead cup for my period, and being able to have sex with a squeamish guy (2 of my four boyfriends lol) is awesome!

Yes, they do seem to catch the semen in the cup.. I noticed that the first time I used it. Made cleanup a little nicer, but a bit of a panic if you're preventing pregnancy like I was. LMAO... but they're still great.

http://www.softcup.com/ They are a little cup that you insert in your hoo-ha. They are supposed to be used on your period to catch menstrual blood but some people use them for TTC. You put it in after you BD, but before you get up and it helps keep all the little spermies in.

I got them at CVS. I think they were $7 for a package of 14 cups.

I was worried about it helping the weaker sperm (and increasing the risk of miscarriage) but I figure the sperm still has to swim all the way up through the cervix, uterus and tube so it should still weed out the crappy sperm hopefully.

I am feeling a little sore this morning so maybe I spoke too soon when I start singing the Instead cup praises.

I got them at wal-mart for like 6 dollars, in case you don't have anything else around (they were way down on the bottom shelf)
And I also used them when I knew I was ovulating last month So maybe it is worth a try

Edited to add: They were in the tampoon section of the store!

I searched everywhere in Walmart and could not find them. I guess not all Walmarts carry them though. I was just glad I didn't have to order them online!

hmm I dont'k now, ours is a super walmart though don't know if yours is.
They didn't have a lot of them though there was just like two boxes down on the bottom shelf where the pads and tampoons were so I don't know
I do think that sometimes wal marts vary from place to place on some things though cuz I have bought some stuff at some wal marts that other ones don't sell.
