His attitude seems to be that since his count and his motility are so good, that the lower morphology shouldn't be a big deal. He was being rather....difficult. I told him I really think he should have a repeat SA and that my OB didn't run all the tests on me, so an RE might want to run more on me to rule out any problems. So finally he said we can go if it will make me feel better. I promised him that we wouldn't be going to the RE to do IUI, just to talk about testing and what our options are. Maybe we can still try the Femara for a little bit.

I think if he had his way, we'd still be trying on our own a few more months. But I have a feeling that would turn into a few more months and then a few more months...

He's so paranoid, he thinks the RE is going to tell us we need IUI, IVF or whatever because they make more money off the more expensive procedures. And I see his point in a way but I still the Dr would give us an honest opinion as to what our chances are.

I did read someone's blog whose Dh had 10% morphology (my Dh has 11%) and they were told by their RE that their chances of natural conception were cut in half. So maybe ours are too? Not sure.

I will be scheduling an RE appointment soon!

I'm glad that dh agree to go to the RE, I hope that by going to get good news. I don't know anything about the morphology, but I hope that it does not mean that your changes are cut in half. KUP

I'm glad he agreed, and you will be going to the RE! Now that the decision's been made, I'm sure it's a weight off of your shoulders, and you will be looking forward to getting some more answers. As Elyesia said, it's definitely another step in the right direction!

I'm not up on my SA information, so I can't help you there, except to say things can change. My SO and his ex-wife split because they couldn't get pg. They both had problems, but together it was like slim to none that they'd have a baby, and that was all she wanted. Anyway, he had multiple sperm issues but the biggest problem for him was motility, but he's still managed to do the job a few times for me. Together, he and I have multiple fertility issues too, but here we are again. So chin up, w/ the assistance of the RE, you will definitely get there too! I hope you'll be seeing your bfp soon!

I need to check with my Dr again and see which of the two REs she would recommend. One is older, one is younger. She said that it shouldn't take very long to make an appointment though, no wait or anything like that.

I'm still hoping that since it happened once before, that it will happen again without major interventions.

Shannon that is great that DH is on board (with a little convincing).

Hopefully they will be able to see you quickly and you can get this show on the road.

I'm very glad you're going to the RE, I know I just feel so much better when I'm proactiv and have some type of plan. Also, the RE should be able to give you lots of options and information.

I'm not surprised your dh was dragging his feet, I think talking about everything w/ a new doc makes men so uncomfortable. I bet he'll feel better about it after you've seen the RE.
