I went into the doctor's last Monday, after spotting and cramping, to find out my little one didn't develop past 4 weeks. I was supposed to be 8-9 weeks along, but there was no baby, no heartbeat, and only a sac. This is my second M/C. Obviously, I'm devastated. DH and I were SO looking forward to our December baby, and now there's nothing. I'm bleeding and cramping and feel horrible.

However, we want to try again. Soon. We're going to try again one more time and if that ends in M/C, we'll go in for testing. But we're not sure how long we have to wait. We've gotten different answers from different doctors, and we're currently moving, so I don't have my own OB.

So, how long did you wait to get pregnant after your M/C? How long did you have to wait to have sex? The doctors say to wait until I stop bleeding to have sex, but I've heard you can bleed for up to 6 weeks?!? I really have to wait that long? And I know I might not ovulate before my first period after the M/C, but can I get pregnant the next cycle? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am sorry that you have to go through the emotional and physical pain of a miscarriage for a second time.
I bled for about a week. We did not DTD for almost a month. I was a total wreck and didn't want him near me in that sense.
I have seen a number of ladies on this board TTC within the same month of a M/C. It all depends on you and what your Dr has suggested.
I was told to wait until after 2 full cycles.

Also, to TTCAL!

Hi, and I am sorry for your loss.

For me, my doctor said that we should wait 1 cycle until ttc, but we didn't. Once we were given the check up (And the bleeding had stopped), we started bd'ing and I bought some OPK's so I would know if I ovulated and when was best to bd. We didn't concieve the 1st cycle, but I did on the 2nd, but that also ended in a m/c.

The road to TTCAL is hard... but, if you feel like you are ready, then I would go ahead. I wish you luck and look forward to getting to know you.

I had bleeding for about a ten days after my m/c. I m/c on April 25, but have already ovulated without my period. AF still hasn't shown her ugly face and it's almost been a month. The nurse told me we should wait three months before trying again, but we don't want to wait that long. I was told to keep taking my prenatal vitamins. If you have them, take them! Good luck.

((hugs)) I am so very sorry your going thro a m/c again. We get back to bding about 2 weeks after the d&c. No more bleeding by then.

I am told to wait till after first af but my last 2 loss's were at 17w pg plus d&c after. I am currently waiting for first af now.
Good luck!

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm glad you found us though. I was told to wait 1 cycle. I hope you won't have to wait too long and you'll get a sticky bean. G/L I look forward to getting to know you.

I'm sorry about your losses. I was told to wait to month, but I had a d&C, I know people that had a natural m/c and they only waited 1 cycle. I think I was bleeding for about a week. I do agree that it depends on you. I would not wait to TTC but, again I agree, it's a hard road back.
