I also get pregnant on the pill, and ovulate on it. I'm not sure what the chances are. I know they probably wouldn't give you the morning after pill either because you are already on the pill. Do you know what point of your cycle you're at? Are you at the fertile time in your cycle?

To Jennifer Sept 24: I would recommend waiting at least 3-6 months after an ectopic pregnancy treated with methotrexate. Having had one ectopic pregnancy, you are at much increased risk for having another. It is also VERY unpredictable when you will ovulate again. It is unusual to get pregnant within a month of treatment, but it COULD happen. Remember, you can get pregnant again as soon as you start ovulating, even if you have not had a period. I strongly recommend some form of reliable contraception for awhile before you tro to conceive and I would NOT recommend leaving things up to chance! Thanks for reading. Dr T[/b]
dont know if this will help hun but at least you know you are not the only one to go through it
a lot of stuff i cam across spoke about the deformities of a baby if conceived early after the meds, mainly skull deformities but there are few cases of healthy full term babies from mums who were put on high risk
xx

thanks for that hun. the stuff i read also said things about spinal problems, as methotrexate blocks floic acid. well i think thats what it said, it was in confusing medical jargon

How far into the 3MW are you??

I have read that methotrexate only stays in your system for 20 days... has it been over a month??? How many injections did you receive, one or two?

I am not 100% positive, but I was also treated w/ methotrexate... I would probably call the doctor and see what they tell you.

So you are over 2 months from the injection? I think IF those spermies catch an eggie on the BCP that you would be ok. I have seen posts of people who have gotten pg after the shot outside of jm are had h & h babies, so I think you'd be ok... but I would definitely check w/ the doctor. Do they have an answering service for a doctor on call? Maybe you could double check w/ them in the meantime...
