My MIL called and left me a message asking if we would come over on Thursday to his grandparent's house to celebrate Dh's grandpa's birthday. No problem except she said they are inviting them (MIL and FIL), us and his sister. His pregnant sister. Ack. So not only is she 6 months pregnant and I'd have to be looking at her belly, it probably will not be a pleasant dinner conversation. No one in the family is happy about her being pregnant and they want her to give the baby up for adoption (which she is considering). So if they start bringing all that up everyone is going to be unhappy because FIL is VERY opinionated. I really have no idea if she will even come because she says they add too much stress to her life.

And NOW part of me wants to test on Thursday before we go. I should be around 11 dpo. It would be really nice to be able to tell Dh's family in person, rather than calling on the phone, because we will be telling everyone right away this time.

And this is superstitious, but last time I got a BFP, I had tested the day that we went to a family get together. So now I'm thinking...same type of scenario!

But then if I get a BFN and especially if SIL is there, I'll be all depressed.

Big Hugs! I know how bad that sucks... my niece's bday party was at the beginning of april, only a month after my 1st m/c and I had to sit there w/ a newborn the whole party. I kept trying not to

I know it will be hard. I will keep you in my t & p!

What a rough scenario to be in, but I am sure you will make it through.

That is a tough one. I have definitely been in some tough situations like that since my loss. But hopefully for you, it's a sign that maybe you'll be getting your BFP this cycle. *HUG*

I already know Dh won't go for it. We missed the last couple family things that were going on for one reason or another. The more I think about it, the more I kinda doubt my SIL will show up but who knows.

What's funny is that last time, when I got my BFP, I had to test a bit early. But I knew we were going to have to be around Dh's pregnant cousin and I knew it would make it more bearable if I was pregnant too! So I tested and to my shock, I was! So part of me can't help but feel this is "a sign" but then I hate to get my hopes up for nothing.
