Is anyone taking prometrium? I'm on 200mg/day taken oral at night. I've been having this warm sensation in my lower abdomen since the day after I started taking it. It comes and goes. Has anyone else had this? I had this feeling once before (w/o prometrium) right when AF was supposed to be showing up...I later found out I was pg So I've felt this before when I wasn't on promtrium, just not daily for 12 days. Anyone else had a similar feeling? I'm wondering if it's from the prometrium or if it's pg. I hope it's pg.

I've been testing the last few days and all HPTs have BFNs....but I'm not too discouraged yet. The earliest I've ever gotten a BFP was one day before my period was to begin (which would be this Thursday for this cycle) and the latest was almost a week after my AF was supposed to arrive.

No, I didn't have that side effect. I took it with my pg that I m/c, and it just made me extremely sleepy. I hope it's pg symptoms. I can't wait until you test. G/L KUP

"Prometrium is prescribed for postmenopausal women who are taking estrogen (hormone replacement therapy); it prevents a buildup of the lining of the uterus and abnormal bleeding. Prometrium also may be prescribed to restore menstruation if your menstrual periods have stopped.

Prometrium increases the risk of blood clots, which can lead to phlebitis, breathing problems, vision problems, or stroke. If you experience any symptoms that might suggest the onset of a clot-related disorder--pain with swelling, warmth, and redness in a leg vein, coughing or shortness of breath, loss of vision or double vision, migraine, or weakness or numbness in an arm or leg--stop taking Prometrium and see your doctor immediately." (Drugs.com)

I might call the doctor and let them know about the warming sensation, just to be careful. I hope that it is a Make sure you kup!

It's also supposed to help you "hold" the pregnancy. Probably not a bad idea to call the doc....espcecially since I call them all the time.
