I had a mc exactly 2 weeks ago, at just past 8 weeks.

A few days ago, I was getting what felt like O cramping, and was hoping my cycle would be getting back on track (I have always been very regular). I got a +OPK for 3 days straight (usually it's only 1 or occasionally two, which made me think something wasn't right).

I chart my temps, and they still haven't gone up. So, I am assuming the + readings were false (I've read this can happen sometime; the egg just doesn't get released even though the body tries).

Does this mean AF won't come till I actually DO ovulate, or should she arrive 2 weeks after the "failed" ovulation, or what, please? This has never happened to me before, and I don't know what to expect.

Thank you for any help...

First of all, I'm sorry for you loss and hope you are doing ok.

I'm not an expert but my understanding is that you should have your period even if the O did not occur.

Sorry for your lost.
I'm also no expert but I think that you still can get af if you di dnot O. I don't think I O for the last 2 cycles and I still had the witch come to pay me a visit. Hope this helps a little.

Thank you both for your kind replies. I'm sorry to see you have had losses as well. I didn't realize how common this was until it happened to me.

I did manage to get ahold of the RN at my ob/gyn's office and explained my situation, but she wasn't much help. She basically said just about anything could happen.

I will check my temps again tomorrow...if they are still low, this was a definite anovulatory cycle but hopefully AF will come in 2 weeks and next one will be normal.

Thanks again...

I've heard it's very common to not ovulate right after a m/c. You will still get your period though, usually 30 some odd days after.

I didn't realize it was so common either, until I was getting wonderful support from my friends and they said, one after another "I've lost one" "I've had losses". The good thing is that they were all mommies from my mom and tot group so they were saying that while holding a BEAUTIFUL little baby on their hip It was very encouraging and heart breaking.

Thank you!

"Frozendesire," your little boy is a doll! My "boys," except for my littlest guy, are all grown. Be sure to treasure every day with him, it goes by so fast! But, I'm sure you realize that.

Mommy2haley, it looks like your little girl's birthday is exactly one month after my Nate's. They're so cute at this age.

I was hesitant to post on this forum because I am probably so much older than everyone else, but, I did have a loss, so I hope I fit in.

It's nice to have others who understand...
