While we were at the deer lease this weekend, we saw 3 baby deer. They could barely even walk. I was in love! So, I talked dh into driving our 4 wheeler out to the pasture where we had seen them for me to try to take a pic. So, we go looking. We went through this clump of trees and over a log. We heard this awful scream. I just knew in my heart we had run over the baby deer. I just started bawling. So, we both looked and the baby deer was laying on the side of the log, but still breathing. We didn't run over him thank God. Haley was with us, so I didn't want her to see. So, my dh took us back to the camp house and got my dad so they could go check on him. He was gone. His momma had come and got him. He was fine! I was so relieved. I was trying to be hush hush about it just in case though. But Haley is too smart for that. She asked later when we went riding again where the baby deer we ran over was. My poor baby! I told her that he was fine and his momma came and got him. I'm so glad that was the truth! So later me and her went riding around and that's when we found the other baby deer in my pics (in other post) He was just laying in the grass sleeping. So, that was my miracle for the weekend. I just knew if we had killed that baby, that I'd never have another one of my own because I took another living animals baby. (silly huh?) I was just so happy that it was okay. We saw him in the same area with his mom a little later. He had been laying behind that log in the grass and we didn't see him there. I'm not sure if the log pinched him or he just cried out because he was scared. I'm just thankful he was okaly.

Aww, I'm glad the baby deer was okay.

I think crazy stuff all the time like "if I do X, then I won't get pregnant" I know it's silly but it still pops into my mind.
