Had a few blood tests done, minor stuff like thyroid for weigt loss and prolactin. My prolactin came back high. I'm not surprised because its been 7 months since I stopped breastfeeding (I bf for 16 months) and I never really dried up. Typically, high prolaction is a problem because it suppresses hormones and prevents ovulation. Obviously, that isn't the problem for me b/c I can get pregnant. I asked doc if it could have anything to do with m/c and she said not necessarily but she doesn't really know. Anybody have thoughts on this?

I googled this for you and apparently, yes, I can suppress ovulation; however, it can also make it so you have low progesterone... I wonder if that may play a role.

high prolactin
