My last bout of poison ivy we were headed out of town when we noticed it. We ended up using caladryl for a few days. However, I don't get it nearly as bad...

I'm sorry you got poison Ivy. I know that all too well, I had it a couple of months ago. I agree caladryl is the best thing (they told the pink stuff), it helps a bit with the itching but the best part is that it takes care of the yuky oozing. Steroids it's the best but they won't give it to you if you are pg. When I had it, it was our first month TTC, I was cd 1, so they did gave them to me and told me that it would not affect me getting pg. Apperently, the start with a high dose and by the end of the 9 days your bodies is making steroids. Be careful I was very allergic to it, my arm look like my leg.

I took Benadryl and it did not help me at all. I also heard that pure alcohol also helps, it hurts but it helps.

Big i hope it goes away soon hun. Caladryl and benadryl are my only suggestions besides oatmeal. Good luck hun. You can always buy the benadryl cream, so that it doesnt knock you out.
