Do you believe in fate?
I have a reason for this question but ill tell you all about it later... much later
I do believe in it to some degree. i believe that things happen for a reason, but your choices will determine the outcome.
***This is not meant for debate, just a question***

i defo believe everything happens for a reason.
i do believe its hard to know what the reason is all the time but when you look back over the years it will strike you that if that hadnt happened then neither would that.
like losing my darling baby, i hate thinking about it but if i hadnt lost my baby then i wouldnt have met all the wonderful women on here

I 100% believe that everything happens for a reason...it is out of our control and sometimes it sucks at the time...but in the long run, it had a purpose.

Eleysia, I'm w/ you. I believe in fate/predestination, but I am also a firm believer in Free Will. They go hand in hand, IMO.

Yes, I believe in fate, and that is completely out of our control. I feel like even the choices we feel are wrong ones have a reason behind them, and in time we find out what that reason is. And I also think the things that happen, even if we don't understand in the moment, someday we will. And if we trust that there is a reason, it will be okay in the end.

Oh wow, this is definitely a complicated question for me! LOL!
I definitely believe that we choose every day how to act, and how to react to what comes our way. Sometimes some of the things that come our way are BECAUSE of the choices we make, and sometimes they happen just because they happen. Take my children for instance. I totally believe that no matter who/when I chose to marry/have children, I would have gotten Cora, and I would have lost her. However, I truly believe that I got Erin because I married her daddy. I truly believe that for whatever reason, she is supposed to be in HIS life, so she is in mine by virtue of my choice to marry him.
I think that every choice has consequences, for good or for bad. Sometimes those consequences look like "fate" when they are actually because of choices you made but couldn't foresee the consequences for.
BUT...I don't believe there's any such thing as a coincidence either.

Guess I'm the oddball here...lol...that's ok. To each his own.
I'm more of the "sh*t happens" believer. Good and bad things happen, and it's not necessarily because you deserve it or it's destined to happen to you. It's just life. I'm an adoptive mom and as much as I love my son and am thrilled to be his mother, I struggle with it being "meant to be" because I know the heartache placing him for adoption brought to his birthmother, and I refuse to believe that she deserved that. Rather, as Brittanie said, it was consequence she had to face based on decisions she had made. And when I struggled with infertility and my recent loss I kept wondering why others could get pg and I couldn't, and I don't want to believe that it's something that was meant to be or that I deserved.

I believe that things happen for a reason and are out of or control even though I dont always agree with it. KWIM
Like I am still trying to figure out why I lost both my babies but was blessed with this one. I guess there are just some things that we are not suppose to know the answer to.

I completely believe that things DO happen for a reason, and most of those things are out of our control.

I just wanted to first off thank you all for not debating this i know it is hard to do since we have some very strong willed women here and i love you all for your own personalities.
Secondly I wanted to add that I think to some degree i agree with everyone. I dont think that any of the opinions are too far fetched, and to some extent they are all very similar. Thank you all for reassuring me in this round about way. Eventually Ill explain why i asked this. Some of you already sorta know a bit from chat last night, but those who dont will find out in due time

I believe that things happen for a reason - and that we must deal with the consequences of our actions!
I also want to know what Eleysia is keeping from us. No fair! I can't get on the chats on Mondays until the summer!
