It's the saliva test.
Estrogen shows in your saliva.
As the estrogen increases, the crystals become different on the slide (its a small microscope).
It goes from a glob to the pretty ferns.
If you need anything else just ask!!!
Hugs from Houston!

I have used one but I personally don't like it.
I doesn't seem to show a pattern that is consistant with my CM or temps.
I will get positive OPKs and no ferning and vis versa.
But is is kinda cool, my DD loves it

It's easier than taking a temperature before you move and at the same time every day....
I ALWAYS wake up having to go to the bathroom!!!
I've had mine for a couple of years now.
It's really easy once you figure out how to read it...
I have to hold the lens to my eye and lower the slide until it's focused.
When it's positive (fully ferned) it means your estrogen level is increased.
(These are used to determine when NOT to BD if you don't want a baby, too.)
Hope this helps!
And good luck!!!!
D

Bobbie your results are awesome! I've been charting my ferning for 2 cycles now - but I still don't know if I'm doing it right. I know that I'll get the hang of it one day. Until then, I'll keep spending $$$ on OPK's too.

This is the one that I bought: http://www.lunafertility.com/catalog...hp/language/en
I didn't buy it online though - London Drugs carries them. Plus it comes with a BBT and charts too.
