ok, this is going to sound very rude and personal to some but....
i was having a convo with a girl friend earlier and we got onto the subject of "how we cope when our partners are away"
well, needless to say this led to a convo about "toys" and it got us thinking, do you think using toys could affect the eggs before O or cause complications with the egg being fertilised.
yes i know, sometimes i can go too far!
the reason we started wondering is we have both had losses and both times we have had to "please ourselves" because our men have been away.
do you think it could cause problems cos of the batteries and stuff?
thanks in advance from a VERY niave sarah and friend (who says if i use her name she will kill me)
xx

You are too funny... Ummm To answer your question.. I really dont think it would do anything... if you can have sex then I dont think a toy would do anything... Not sure about the batteries.. But I really highly doubt it.. Hopefully some one will have a better answer lol

I seriously don't think it would hurt anything, even the batteries. That was a good question though.

Sarah, I absolutely ADORE you!!!
And to be completely honest, I'm glad you asked this question! I'd wondered about it too!
But I'm kind of along the same lines as the other girls, I'm thinking if sex can't hurt the baby, then I don't think a toy would hurt either.
Good for you to suck it up and ask!! You're fearless!!

i highly doubt it would hurt anything at all!!!! Sarah dont be embarrassed!!! I love the fact that im a sexual being
I will say that i had ALOT of Alone time when i had just gotten pg with Gavin and im not kidding, i went to town about every night, and he is fine. I dont think thats what caused it.. i promise you, my B.O.B. (battery opperated boyfriend) got tons of use!!!
Speaking of which................ I know exactly where i stashed him when i told chad i had "gotten rid" of him......

There you have it Eleysia. Now you don't have to play warcraft tonight. You can play with something else.

I've actually wondered about this too, so this is a good question! I googled a couple things on this, and can't find anything.

im so glad im not the only person who has wondered about it and eleysia.... i bloody love you girl
well my mates forum has come up with the same, "surely if there is no studies then it should be ok"
i do however think im going to be making the most of the toys this cycle cos we not trying and just use mark or non battery operated one next month just for my own sanity and peace of mind.
thanks girls, i knew i could rely on you!

I think that the only danger would be if you inserted it and it had bacteria on it. Keep it clean and loaded with fresh batteries and have fun!
