Well, even though I tend to be a lurker on these boards (I am shy and introverted by nature) – I thought I would finally go ahead and introduce myself. My name is Kristen and unfortunately this is the board I now frequent after dropping out of my DDC. After TTC our first for about 5 months I got my BFP on April 18th. Needless to say we were ecstatic and I started telling people pretty soon after getting my BFP. Then at 8 weeks I started spotting and when it go heavier I went to the ER where I was told I had a 50/50 chance of miscarriage. I went to my doctor the next day and was told I was miscarrying due to a blighted ovum, which means I was pregnant but the baby never developed. I was crushed but I know that God has a plan for me so I have faith that I will be a mother soon. I had a D&C on May 21st and now I am just waiting for AF so we can start trying again. Thanks for welcoming me into the board.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Welcome to the board. Their are a lot of great people here. I don't spend a lot of time on here because it reminds me of when I used to pregnant. I lost my little girl at 27 weeks and I am having to wait 9 months before I can start trying again. Being here helps to pass the time and to realize that I am not the only one who has suffered a loss.

Hi Kristen I am so sorry for your loss and hope AF shows quickly so you can get back to TTC!
I am glad you decided to de-lurk yourself I, too, lurked for a LONG time on a different forum before joining a DDC last fall. After that, I came here and LOVE it! These women are great and take it from me, it is so much more fun if you actually *talk*--I promise!!!
I look forward to getting to know you!

Welcome. I'm sorry for your loss, but glad you found your way here. Sounds like you have a positive attitude about things...which is great! Now here's hoping AF will show on time so you can start working toward a BFP!

I'm sorry for your loss. Life just isn't fair sometimes! My AF took about 7 weeks to return after a natural m/c. I hope the witch shows soon for you so you can try again (when you are ready!) Oh, and .

Welcome Kristin~
Soooo sorry to hear about your loss. I too had a blighted ovum and had a D&C on April 22. I just got my period back last week, 7 weeks it took. My dr said I could start trying after the first period. Everyone on this board is sooo wonderful and helpful! I hope you are taking great care of yourself. Hopefully you have a little bean growing soon!
