I was 12 weeks when an ultrasound found that the pregnancy was not viable. The baby measured only 8.5 weeks. I wanted to miscarry naturally, but the pain was too much, so I had a d&c on Sunday night.
When will I start menstruating again, and when can I start TTC after the d&c? Thanks in advance.

I'm so sorry for your lost. The lost that I had was my first pg as well, so I know how you are feeling. Well actually we all in here know how you feel.
I also had a d&c, af showed about 4 weeks later. We were told to wait 2 cycles before trying, so we did.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Welcome to TTCAL.
It took me 7-8 weeks after my d&c to get my first af. Some women it resumes in 30 days or so. I lost my baby at 7w1d. I was told to wait 1 cycle after the d&c. I hope when you ttc again that you get a sticky BFP soon!

I am so sorry fro your loss
I lost my last 2 babies at 17w and had d&c after there births both times and was told to wait till first af came to ttc. Good luck!

Your story sounds very much like mine. I found out at 12w that my egg sac was empty but was measuring 8w. I scheduled the d&c for 2 days later, but the next day I started bleeding so I decided to go the natuarl route. It took about 7 weeks for AF to come after that. Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your loss! It also took me 7 weeks for my period to come back. My dr said at least wait till your period comes back and then start trying. Good Luck!

I am sorry for your loss. I had a natural m/c for my 1st loss and had methotrexate for my 2nd... the info that the ladies gave you sounds about right.
 and I look forward to getting to know you. This is a wonderful support system and helped me a lot. Big

I'm so sorry for your loss. My first loss was a missed m/c also. I had a D&C and got my first AF 30 days later.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a natural m/c at 11 weeks; a missed miscarriage like yours. Found out at 9 1/2 weeks the babies were measuring small and had no heartbeat. AF showed just 3 and 1/2 weeks after the day of my m/c. My doctor said we could start TTC when I was ready...he said you could ask five different doctors and get 5 different answers on that question. I wish you lots of luck.

Thanks everyone. I hope to start menstruating sooner rather than later. I had a hard time of the miscarriage and d&c and I feel like getting my period will reassure me that I am getting back to normal.
