Since our loss, I have not been sleeping very well. I am tired. I know I am tired, but I just cant get to sleep. And when I do get to sleep, I cant stay asleep. I take my B6 early AM and Early afternoon so that it wont keep me awake. I dont drink alot of caffine or chocolate and dont eat late. I have tried drinking caffine free cammomile teas and it helps very little.

Its driving me crazy because then I come to work so tired that I am almost drooling on my desk.

I was at the store and picked up some sleeping pills (Generic Unisom) but it looks like it is the same thing as an antihistamine. And if I am not mistaken, that will dry up CM. Right?

Is there something that I can take that is safe for TTC and wont interfere with CM or cause a nasty birth defect when I do get pregnant. I know that once I am pregnant I wont have an issue falling asleep. When I am pregnant all I want to do is sleep.

Well, I have no idea about the cm thing, but I know that unisom is safe during pregnancy because I was told to take half a unisom every night to help with morning sickness when I was pregnant with Cora AND with Erin (never helped me, but then again, they have to take out the big guns to help me).

Good luck finding something!

Yes, anything with an antihistimine will dry up CM. I am always checking ingredients because of this. Honestly, you should be able to ask your doctor, even for a prescription sleeping aide. Nothing is directly passing to the baby until around 4-5 weeks. My doctor said usually nothing is passing to the baby until you have obviously missed AF. I went off anti-anxiety meds in April, but my doctor told me that I can go off as soon as I get pregnant, and that I'll probably conceive a lot easier if I am on the meds anyway because I'll feel better. I am sure the same goes for you, not getting sleep is the worst.

I know that you can take unisom when you are pregnant and you can also take tylenol pm. I might suggest taking the sleep aide and taking a little guiafenisin (I know that is spelled wrong) to help the cm issue.
