Well, I am new to this board and don't post here often but I don't look at any of the JM ladies differently based on where they are from. I know many British ladies on here and many from Australia and New Zealand and I'm glad you are all here. Regardless of nationality, we are all having a shared experience that brought us to JM in the first place. I am sorry that you did not feel like part of your PR or DDC but I have heard from other women who had similar experiences who were American so it could be something else. I hope you feel comfortable on this forum though

I guess some people can think the difference in the words you use is weird. But...I know plenty of women from here in the US who feel/felt like they didn't really fit, so I don't know if you can blame it just on that. I think it depends on how open/welcoming the group of women who first get there are.

It doesn't bother me at all, honestly unless I see a word that isn't commonly used here I normally don't notice cuz I always forget to read where people are from, so unless you tell me or say an uncommon word I would never even know!

I can't imagine that anyone would purposely treat someone differently because of where their from. Personally, I love to meet people from around the world! I'm from Canada and I love to see others on this board that spell colour with a "u"!

I agree with Brittanie. I think it has much more to do with the people in the forum than the fact that you are British. I personally love to se the unfamiliar phrases -- it broadens my knowledge and I always enjoy that.

Doesn't bother me a bit! That's the beauty of the web, you are able to meet and get to know people from all over the world!!!

It's sad that some people wouldn't want to embrace that opportunity

oh i didn't realize you were british
i have an aussie friend and i think it's SO adorable the way she talks. those cute funny words we don't use.
but i don't think it has anything to do w/ the fact that you're british! i really only post here in ttcal, so not sure what's going on in other boards.
