Hi Ladies

I had a D &C on Friday. I was 9 weeks. My uterus measured at 6 weeks. This would have been my first child. I feel horrible. I just want to heal so I can move on. I just dont understand. I saw the baby at 7 weeks and it had a strong heart beat. However when I went to the ER they did not see a baby in the sac. Do anyone have any success stories after having a miscarriage?

I am so sorry for your loss, but you have come to the right place. I had a D&C last month also and am now waiting for my period to come back so I can start TTC again. If you want to check out some success stories, go to the "Pregnancy After Loss" message board. It's definitely not an easy thing to deal with, especially if you have been looking forward to being a mommy, but I hope you find faith and strength to get through this and I do wish you luck as you begin to heal. Welcome to the board.

I just wanted to say that we do have many girls with a success story, I'm one of those. I had a d&c in feb at 8w5d, and now I'm pg again and praying that this one will stick. You have come to the right board, the ladies here are amazing.

Let me first start by saying im sorry for your loss, and the fact that it would have been your first child makes it that much worse.

There are a ton of success stories, if you check out pregnancy after loss board you will see some of our graduates. It is bittersweet having a successful pregnancy after a loss. Youll always think about the baby you lost, but then again you have to remaiin optomistic about the baby you are carrying. It is completly do-able, it just takes that much more out of you, but in the end there isnt anything more in the world that is worth it.

If you need anything please let me know hun. I just had my D&C 2 weeks ago, it was my second loss in 4 months, and my story is a little different, i had an IUD placed (queue the scary music....dun dun dun) because im taking a long and much needed break from TTC.
I hope that you have a speedy recovery both physically and mentally.

I'm so sorry. My loss was also my first. My Cora was stillborn at 38 weeks, so the story is a little different, but the feelings are the same.

I have since had my beautiful Erin (who just turned 1!), and am pregnant yet again. ((Still not used to saying that)).

again. It IS possible to have a successful pregnancy after a loss, but when it's your first that you lose, you feel so broken. I know I felt as if I would never have a child. I was so afraid that Cora was my once chance, and I failed miserably. But it wasn't true. You CAN find hope.

I am very sorry you lost your baby. It's a pain no one should ever have to go through.

My first loss was at 14w and my baby had stopped growing around 11-12w. I am not sure how I have gone on to keep TTC and keep losing babies, but this one seems to be a sticky one for me. Emotionally it just sucks. It is a horrible roller coaster to be on. I guess I am just too stubborn to give up. They have run just about every test possible and come up with no reason for my losses. I just think I have bad luck. I want this more than anything in the world and I will keep trying until I finally get to bring a baby home. I hope this one is my keeper So far so good!

Welcome to the group. I am sorry for your loss. I dont have a success story (not yet anyways). I have seen a few women here become pregnant again after a loss, in my short time being here.

I hope that you also get your sticky BFP very soon.

I'm so sorry for your loss. my first loss was at 6 weeks, I got pregnant a few months after my m/c and went on to have a healthy baby boy! He's now 2. It hard to imagine right now, but you will get pg again. I hope you get you BFP soon!

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my angel at 20w1d to full placental abruption. They have done a bunch of tests on me but can't pinpoint what happened (so far). We will be TTC in another few months...I'm scared to death, but we want a baby more than anything.

KUP and feel free to vent if needed.

I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. I know words can never help you feel better. I had my first miscarriage on June 3rd of this year. I was only 5 wks 3 days. I do have 2 other children and both pregnancies were perfectly normal. So a miscarriage for me was a huge shock. Per Dr.'s orders we have to wait a few weeks to TTC. Although we were not trying before, I need to try now. I am terrified. But my Dr. said every pregnancy has a 15% chance of miscarriage including the 2 I already have. So there is an 85% chance that everything will be okay. So I am depending on that 85% and God to get me a perfect baby #3!

Good Luck to you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had a m/c at 9w6d - but my baby had stopped developing at about 6 weeks. I'm happy to say that I got a faint second line (BFP) just yesterday.

Everyone here is very helpful and supportive..

I am so sorry for your loss. I also lost my first pregnancy and it was beyond devastating. I ended up having three miscarriages in a row before blood work was done. They found I have a blood clotting disorder that essentially cuts off blood flow to the baby. I got pregnant again and had to do blood thinning shots for the duration of the pregnancy. I now have a 22 month old son who is perfect. The bad thing is that I have had another miscarriage since having him, while on the blood thinners. We are actively TTC again but always being very cautious. I really hate to hear that you are going through the pain too sweetie. Good luck!!!
