well as you know i have been ttc since november. despite my 2 losses im not giving up hope!
due to babies being expensive i have been buying little bits as we go along. ive mentioned before that all i really need is a pram (i KNOW what one il be getting but costs a lot to have it sent here so will wait until i know my bean is going to stick) steriliser and monitors. i have EVERYTHING else except a baby to use them on and here is my proof!

the moses basket that came from austria (i dont like normal ones cos they are too high for my liking and stands are not sturdy enough) this one even swings

some of the sleeping suits etc i have hanging up

my rolled up baby grows (at least 25) and other stuff

my cupbaord of cloth nappies (enough to last a yr including different sizes)

remember i said mark is nike daft?

hehe

my cot

this is the pram il be getting

ok now you can laugh! see, i may not be a total poas addict but i am an addict of other things!
xx

Oh gosh Sarah, when did he found out? I'm sorry to hear that.

On a lighter note, I love your obsession, the stuff is so cute.

last week hun. he as back at docs today cos the meds are not helping but they are going to persevere until we are back from hols and then reasses him! talk about stress! it has made us closer though becasue hes realised hes not invinsible after all and has to face real life now.

i love my baby things. sometimes i think its bad having them here because they can make me broody which makes me sad but other times i look and think "one day il have a baby to fill these and they are going to be well loved, cared and provided for"
i think my moses basket is my fave though hehe

That is such great stuff. I dont think it is insanity. After we lost our baby I pulled out my sewing machine determined that my baby will wear cloth diapers and DH asked what I was doing and when I told him what I was up to, he had to make sure that I havent completely fallen off my rocker.

I love the buggy. I want one like that too. I have been collecting little bits here and there too, but I dont have as much as you. But I make lots of diapers. At this rate, when we do have a baby, it may never wear the same diaper twice!

I love the basket, but I really love the stroller! I told Jason the other day that we were getting a Bugaboo stroller and NO ARGUMENTS. He smiled and said "whatever".

sorry my "stroller" is a pram/buggy/car seat i forget you are not all in the uk lol
its called the marlin traxx 4 but they do a 3 wheel one as well (we are not keen on the 3 wheels though)

vanessa i make boosters for my cloth nappies
i used cloth on all of mine at some point but with the boys it was plain old terry towelling and i hated the pins and with sadie i had a couple of shaped ones but she was a heavy wetter so i only used them at home.
this time im determined we will be cloth all the way and have even bought special "all in one" cloth and wrap for when mark is changing because i would pmsl watching him trying to use a real nappy

im glad no one thinks im totally mad i just want any baby to be well provided for and hey, it stops me buying more fags doesnt it
xxx
oh and i swear i saw a very very faint line on a test this morning think my eyes are playing up on me
xx

There is nothing wrong with planning ahead! I buy little things here and there, like bottles and such. I just bought a new space saver highchair because it was on sale $15 off in anticipation of our next addition to the family.

My family believes it is bad to buy stuff until you are at least 12 weeks. I want to buy stuff sooooooooo bad. But I would have to rent a storage building to hide it in...they would probably commit me if I bought even a bottle.

But I LOVE all your stuff

I cant laugh at that...you are longing for a dear child. And i think it is ADORABLE and very RESPONSIBLE of you to start getting things together now. rather then later. Keep buying those baby things...you will have a baby to put in there soon enough!

When I was out shopping today I decided to price out cloth diapers. They were $50 for 5!!! OMG! I might have to learn to sew!

I havent made the soakers for mine yet. I am bouncing around the idea of using a "ShamWOW". Hubby gave me the brilliant idea. Hopefully it will work and help make it less bulky. I know my baby, when we have one, will have an awesomely colorful backside!

Thats why I pulled out my sewing machine. I went thru my linen closet to look for things I could use and I hit the clearance racks at the fabric stores to see what they have I could use.

There is a cloth Diapering section that has alot of links to make your own cloth diapers. I think it is in the section "Mommies like you". Its great. It is much easier than I thougth it would be, especially since my sewing skills are very (VERY) basic. I think someone needs to create a sewing machine that you could dictate what you want it to do and it does it. LOL
