I have been reading alot about taking baby asprin when TTC. Can you please tell me if you are taking it? Did your Dr. tell you to take it or did you decide to take it on your own?
Thanks for the info

I don't have an answer for you, but I'm really interested to hear as well. I've recently been tested for a clotting disorder and I'm waiting for my Dr to get back from vacation. I've read that it doesn't hurt anything though.

I started taking it because of a superficial blood clot, and later found out I had a clotting issue, so continued to take it until I got a BFP then switched to Lovenox.

The aspirin is a blood thinner, it helps with circulation and can help keep serious clots from forming (that's to the best of my knowledge). Even if you don't have a clotting issue, it is not going to hurt you to take a low dose aspirin a day. Tons of people do it for the circulatory benefits. The idea about taking it when ttc, is that it improves the blood flow in your entire body and this is good for the uterus/lining/I-don't-know-what-else.

Sooooo, not the most educated answer for you, but it's all I know. My suggestion would be to do some research, talk to your doctor, and know that an aspirin a day is not going to hurt you (unless you're hemophiliac maybe).

This is what I have been reading

Benefits of Aspirin
Baby aspirin helps with the blood flow to the reproductive organs. It helps to build the uterine lining. This can possibly help to reduce the chances of miscarriage.
Aspirin Preventing Miscarriage
Taking one baby aspirin or one low-dose aspirin a day may help to prevent certain early miscarriages. Possibly it helps in the prevention of antibodies that causes miscarriages.

this info came from http://conception.lifetips.com/faq/51742/0...irin/index.html

I have also read that it should the 81mg asprin

I am just curious if anyone is doing it...

I tried it for the first time last cycle and am trying it again this one. My friend had 2 m/c s and her doctor put her on it and she carried her next pregnancy to term. It can't hurt, so I'm trying it. I also have been reading about Dr. Beer's research and figured that since I have unexplained infertility plus m/c the aspirin might help me. Good luck to you!

Morena, that is great to hear about your friend. I have not had infertility problems, just a miscarriage. Just wondering if I should try the aspirin or not....
