Doc is sending me in for an u/s this morning.....she knows I'm too early for a hb, but she thinks just seeing the sac, etc. will help ease my fears. It shouldn't be too eventful, but I'll update when I get back.

Well, the u/s was a waste of time. First of all, the tech looked at me like I was stupid when I told her how far I was and then said "well we won't see anything then". I thought it was a bit early, but the doc ordered the u/s....so don't treat me like I'm dumb!! Also, the doc told me it would be transvaginal and when she got all set up to do an external, I asked her about it and she said "well we don't like to do those" (she ended up doing one because of course she couldn't see anything externally). All that we ended up seeing was a corpus luteum cyst, thick lining, and "perhaps" a small sac. Blah! I like my gp but I think I'm going to switch my care to the ob office, simply so I don't have to deal with out-of-office u/s techs!

I'm sorry you had a crummy u/s tech. On a positive note, that was kind of your doc to schedule an early u/s to ease you fears. And great news you did see a sac there.
