So I called the doctor's office today to tell them we needed to schedule the Hsg my doctor wanted to do. So I was all prepared for them to say Wed-Fri (he had said between CD7-11). Well, they called back and said TOMORROW morning at 8 am!!! I was in shock! On one hand, at least I will get it over with, on the other hand, I was planning on a couple days to mentally prepare!

Anyone have any input for me? Words of wisdom??

Wish me luck tomorrow ladies. I won't be able to update until the evening after work, but I will let you know as soon as possible!

Hi,
I cant wait to hear what you have to say about your experience. My gyn told me I have to wait til I start AF and call him as soon as I do so he can set a app for a week later. Im so nervous about it. I still have yet to start af after a month-my periods are crazy-I was hoping to have started on time this month but it doesnt look like its going to happen. I have all the symptoms though. Okay I will stop rambling lol. Wishing you the best of luck. KUP!!!

Amber~

I had an HSG done Oct or Nov of last year. I took ibuprofen about an hour before hand. With the procedure itself, I didn't have much cramps until the inserted the dye. They were a little painful for a few moments, but once I relaxed, they eased up a bit. At the end, I didn't feel bad at all. I even drove home.

Hope this helps!

Good luck! I agree - take something about an hour before. I thought the procedure itself was pretty uncomfortable and weird. It is like they are overflowing your insides and water/liquid just runs out of you...strange.

But I felt fine when they were done and drove myself home. I did take some more drugs and took a nap when done, but it was fine.

Fingers crossed!!

I've never had an HSG, so I'll be relying on you to tell us all the details afterwards. Good luck! I'll be anxiously awaiting your update.

Thanks for the advice ladies! I am glad to hear that it's not *too terrible*!

Hey girl, just thought I would pop on and say good luck tomorrow!!

Also, defintiely do take the ibuprofen - it helped me tons! I didn't have any siginificant cramping, and thought that all the scary hype was a bunch of hooey. You will be fine!
