Butterflies and Angel Wings
Little baby…
For you I cry,
Your butterfly wings spread,
And off to heaven you fly.
A little soul taken
To serve as love,
Never to be forgotten,
Our precious angel to above.
You gave us hope
When all seemed astray,
Inspired us to persist and continue,
Keep us moving on through the day.
As I sit there and ponder,
Mourn and grieve,
A beautiful butterfly flutters by,
I know you’re watching and will never leave.
Even through all of the dark, sad times,
We can always find beauty and comfort,
Because we know our lost babies
Are guiding us from Heaven’s port.
So mommy’s little angels,
Don’t worry or be scared,
For you have done so much,
And I’ll never forget the joy you shared.
I will grasp that faith
With you in my heart,
My gorgeous butterfly baby,
God’s work of art.

It's an absolutely beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing and touching my heart as well as many others i'm sure. It made me cry as well. Its hard because I know that I would have been almost through the first trimester by now and it makes me sad and sometimes I don't know we will ever have a baby. Reading your poem though gives me hope and faith that one day it will happen and I know we have a beautiful angel watching over us. Thanks again for sharing and I hope that you receive your miracle soon. I can't even begin to imagine what kind of pain you have gone through. I have only lost one and I know how much it hurt me. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope God blesses you with a miracle soon. Thanks again.

I know that this poem doesn't apply to me but I just wanted to say that this poem is beautiful and I hope that it touches many people as it has touched to me. Congrats on being so supportive to these other women who are going through so much just like you. & so sorry for your losses but your right they are always with you no matter if their in heaven or in your arms.

Thank you for sharing that gorgeous poem. It's hard to cope with loss after loss and it's difficult to talk to friends and family because they don't know what say and it just seems to make them uncomfortable if you start crying. I don't blame them, it's just until you've gone through it you don't really know what to say..and even then you really just cry with them and hold them tight. Thanks for sharing your lovely poem....
