My hcg today was 13,900 (11, 794 two days ago). Now I just wait. I honestly just don't know if I can keep doing this.

I am sorry you are going through this right now but I just wanted to tell you that the most important this is that your numbers are rising. I believe that after 2500 it takes longer to double, and then after 6000 it takes even longer and eventually when you reach the 10th week they level out. Here is my story. I don't know if it will help, but just wanted to share.

I went and had blood drawn on 14dpo and my hcg was 342. Had it done again on 17dpo and it was 2532. It more than doubled and I was thrilled. I went in for my first u/s about 3 days later and they saw a sac and a fetal pole measuring 6w3d but no hb. They told me that with the fetal pole measuring that size they should see a hb by now. Freaked me out completely. They even started telling me my options of a d&c or a pill to abort. I waited. Left the dr.'s and got my blood drawn again 21dpo was 6396. Basically took 4 days for it to double. That is when they told me that I should be seeing the hb once the hcg is over 5,000. Again I am still scared out of my mind. 2 days later(23dpo=5w2d) I had another u/s and saw the same exact thing. Fetal pole measured 6w3d still no hb. So they were almost ready to call it quits on my baby. I went and had blood drawn again and they told me that things didn't look good my hcg was 9622 on the day I had the u/s. It was the longest wait of my life. I waited all weekend and finally by Monday night I went into the ER and my hcg was over 20,000 and there was the heartbeat. I was only 5w5d at that point. I thought I O'd sooner but maybe I was off by a day and also this baby might have taken a little longer to implant. So anyways keep your head up.

So basically mine only went up 3000 in the two days but mine was only 6396, yours is way higher than that. Try to stay positive as hard as that is. I was a wreck for the first couple weeks during that time, but here I am already 17 weeks. Hang in there.

I'm so glad that Rhonda replied, I was totally thinking of her story. I know it's been mentioned here before, but check out this site.

I don't want to give you false hope, but I don't think you should give up just yet either.

I pray that it's alright.

Big Hugs!!! I don't know why those who have suffered losses can't just have easy pregnancies.

I am so sad to hear your news. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I have suffered 3 miscarriages in 10 months and know how hard it is to put on a "happy face" with a toddler, and then run and cry during her naptime. I am SO sorry, I hope the numbers are wrong and that you go on to deliver a healthy little baby.

Hugs

LURKER HERE- I just wanted to say HUGS & don't give up hope just yet! You're numbers are great, and ditto to Rhonda about the rising numbers. At 4w6days mine was 6000, and at 5w2d it had only gone up to 8800. But everything was just fine! I'll keep you in my T&Ps!
