Hi, I'm Lynne and am currently experiencing an early m/c. I was about 4.5 weeks when my positive hpt's started to fade. I went to the ER and my hcg was down to 8.7 at 17 dpo. I am out of state and away from my regular dr. until Aug. 1st. I'm just looking for some guidance. Do I need to see a dr. once the bleeding stops even though I was so early when the m/c occurred? It took a couple of days after my ER visit for the bleeding to start. I am on day 2 of bleeding. Nothing alarming so far. For about 2 hours yesterday it was heavy with big clots. Now it is just red with the occasional small clots.
I will call my dr. as well. It is just really hard to get a hold of her.
Any other advise would be appreciated.
Oh, just some info. on me. We had been ttc #2 for 8 cycles before this. We have daughter who is almost 5. I'm 37 and DH is 36. A few months after DD was born I had to have surgery for low grade osteosarcoma (removed tumor and part of pelvic bone then 5 wks of radiation). Two years later had to have a hip replacement b/c of damage from the radiation. Early June I had an HSG done and my remaining tube is all clear and uterus looked good.
Thanks so much for reading.

Hi Lynn. I'm sorry we had to meet under these circumstances but I'm glad you found us here. I'm so sorry for your loss. These are some wonderful ladies who will help in any way that they can. I would call your dr and see what she says. When I had my m/c at 4 wks 5 days, I called and told my dr and they ordered a beta and I faxed them the results and never heard back from them. Needless to say I am changing doctors. Just call her and see what she says. I think she will probably want you to go ahead and come in when you get back. It sounds like you have been through alot and you sound like a very strong woman. If you want to talk, please feel free to pm me. You will be in my thoughts and prayers and I hope that when you start ttc again, you get your bfp really quickly. KUP.

Lynne,
First off, I'm am so sorry for your loss. I'm glad you found our board. It sounds like you have been through so much girl!!
As long as you feel fine, without too much pain or super heavy bleeding, you shouldn't need to worry about seeing a doc right away. I have had 2 m/c that were between 4 and 5 weeks and for me they were just like a slightly heavier period. I didn't even see the doc after my first. With your history, however, they may want to see you at some point. You may just want to call and let them know. Again, I'm sorry you're going through this (it is always sad to "welcome" new members to this place).
P.S. I have a Corinne who is almost 2, but we call her Cori. Also, I love, love, love the name Noelle. Beautiful.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I too lost my angel in the 4th week. My doctor was never able to confirm pregnancy. I got a BFP at 10 & 11 DPO, then on day 13 it was lighter and by 14 it was gone, started bleeding on day 16. My doctor said I could go ahead and TTC right away because if it hadn't been for HPT, I would have never KNOWN (I knew) I was pregnant.
You may want to talk to your doc and see if they want you to wait or if you can start again right away.
Good luck and we are here for you.

Lynne,
Im so sorry you are having to experience this. It is a horrible thing to go through for sure. I hope that you find this board very helpful, these women have been my strength many times now, not only suffering through 2 m/c but also through life's hurdles . If you need anything please let me know, im always here to help someone out. Im so sorry we have to meet under such crappy circumstances.
I just wanted to say if i were you, id definatly call your doc, and go in to see her/him when you get back. There are things that they should do, like follow your HCG all the way down, and also that starts a paper trail, in case (god forbid) it happens again. That way you can be bumped up to high risk, and recieve more care, and also if you want to go see a RE (reproductive endocrinologyst?) you'll be that much closer to getting a consult since you can show you have had issues in the past.
Again if you need anything please let me know hunny

Welcome to the board, Lynne.
I'm so very sorry for your loss!!!
I agree with the other ladies, call your doc and let him/her know what is going on. They will be able to provide you with whatever it is you need/want to know from THEIR perspective. It's never easy to see another person join this board!
I hope your doc gives you the go-ahead to begin trying again soon. Good luck with everything!!

Hey hon...the ladies over here are great...we've all been through it and so it helps to have people who understand.
I agree with everyone...call your doctor. The least they should do is make sure your HcG is at zero.
(((hugs)))

Hi Lynne,
I am sorry you are joining us - it is a terrible thing to happen. But the ladies here have helped me immeasurably. I would call your dr. With all of my m/c, the dr has done u/s to make sure there was no tissue hanging around and that my beta's went to 0. I would think you are fine to wait to see your dr when you get back - but you should at least call and talk to a nurse and let them know. I agree with Eleysia - it is a good idea to start a "paper trail" just in case.
Again, so sorry for the loss of your baby. Take care.
