I've been kind of regrouping over the last couple of days. Thank you so much for thinking of me. I think I am doing better. It isn't as fresh now. I called my dr. in SC and the nurse told me to come in when I get back and have b/w to make sure my level has gone to 0 or below 5. Other than that I've been just feeling kind of bleh. This put a bit of a damper on my trip. I know it will get better though. I am planning on sticking around on this board. You all have helped me so much already.

I already have an appt. with an RE scheduled for the end of Aug. I got the referral and made the appt. last month after I hit my 6 months of ttc mark (I'm over 35). I'm not sure now, since I got pg on my own, if I will be allowed to keep my appt. I really want to know if this was just one of those natural things or if I have an egg quality or progesterone problem.

ETA: When you had your m/c what precautions did your dr. give as far as ttc again?

my doctor didn't do anything yet. Because my levels dropped (got a negative HPT) before I started bleeding, there was nothing that could have been done, the embryo wasn't viable.

Well I'm glad to hear your are feeling a little better. I know that feeling of BLAH. I was that way for about a week. I just was soooo mad and wondered why did this have to happen to me? Did I do something to deserve it, or did I do something to cause my m/c but finally I was ablet o accept the fact that it just wasn't the right time. We tried for 8 months before I got pregnant and I am thankful for the fact that at least now I know that I can get pregnant. I hope that you are able to keep that appt and get some answers.

As far as the dr, I'm actually going to a different dr next month. I live about an hour away from the ob dr I was using, so i called and told them that I had an ultrasound done at the hospital that I work at and they said that I had in fact had a miscarriage and they wanted me to have the beta done to see what my levels were. I faxed them the results and they were zero but I never heard anything else back from them. THey didn't call to ask if I had any questions or to even ask me to come in. I was really dissappointed in him and I will not be going back to him. So, I really don't know what to tell you about ttc again.

When will you be going back to your dr?

The nurse told me to come in when I get back after I get b/w done. I have to go to the Naval Hospital b/c we are on military insurance. They won't do much for me regarding fertility. After the hsg and SA they basically refer you out to the RE. I wish they would at least do hormone testing first but I'll have to wait until my RE appt. I guess. Have you ever had your progesterone tested? I asked my dr. to test mine a few months ago and she agreed to. On CD 21 my prog. was 10. I'm a little leery about the number. She basically said we'll let the RE take that info and deal with it when I questioned it.

I'm glad you found a new dr. Your old one sounds crappy.

Yeah, I'm at the point of being mad that I FINALLY got a bfp and it had to end like this

well I hope that you get some answers and I completely understand the being mad. I think its part of the whole process. Waiting so long for it to be our turn and then to have our miracles so quickly taken from us. I know it's something I had to work through and to be honest, i still have those feeling from time to time.

I hope that you will get some answers. I was in the military and then I got out and my husband was still so I know how the military thing goes. Frustrated me at times....that's for sure. I went the the doctor after ttc for 6 months and he said the first thing we needed to do was a progersterone check 7 days after ovulation. I was charting and had a pretty good idea when i o'd so i had my blood test done and it came back at 7. My dr told me at the appt that he liked the level to be at least 10. I never heard back from him thought as to whether he thought there was a problem but even to this day, I think I may have a progesterone deficiancy. It's definately something I will be asking my next dr. I have seen ladies with progesterone levels of 22 and not be pregnant. I just really don't know. I hope we both get some answers that we can be happy with and I hope your dr can figure out what if anything needs to be done. You are definately in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

For my 1st m/c, which was natural, my doctor said to wait one cycle until ttc.

For the 2nd, I was treated w/ methotrexate and it took a long time for my levels to drop, so it has been awhile...

I hope that you get some answers and I will keep you in my t & p...
