Hi ladies!
Thought that I would finally get on here and introduce myself.
Im Dana married to dh Bobby. we have 2 girls Ellone 6 and Gracie 5.
WE loss our little angel June 15 of this year. Three weeks later I ened having to have a D&C.
I was wondering from all you ladies since I am approaching 6 weeks post miscarriage when did you guys know that it was you cycle starting. The reason I had to have the d&c was because i started bleeding alot and Im now scared that I want know the difference between my cyclce showing up or if its that bleeding again and will probably worry the crap out of my doc lol( like i havent already bugged her enough) also the doc told us that we can try again after one cycle. How many of you starting trying after one cycle?

Hey Dana! I sadly welcome you to this board. I wish none of us had to be here.
I'm Jeana, I had a miscarriage in February and May. Both very early on in pregnancy. These girls were a GREAT help! I don't have any answers for you, unfortunately, but I wanted to welcome you and say good luck on trying again!!

Welcome to the board, and I'm very sorry for your loss.
I do not have any experience with D&C, but I do know that my first AF after my loss was very heavy and it lasted longer than normal. With your experiences, if you are concerned about anything, give your doc a call. She will understand.
My Doc also told us that we could begin to TTC after 1 AF, and that's what we did. I think you can start TTC as soon as you are emotionally ready. Good luck!! The girls in TTCAL are very supportive and full of great advice!

I got my first AF exactly 6 weeks from the date of my D&C. After my D&C I bled for about 10 days and then nothing until AF showed up. When I finally did get AF it was heavier and longer than usual for me. Hope this information helps a little. I am very sorry about your loss and I hope you can find some comfort and support in the TTCAL board.

Hello Dana. I'm so very sorry for your loss and I hate to have to welcome you to the board under the circumstances but you have come to a wonderful place for adivce, support, and encouragement. These ladies are all wonderful and I hope you get some answers that you are looking for. I don't have any experience as far as a D&C goes, but I had a natural m/c at about 5 weeks and that was on June 1st. I still haven't gotten my first AF yet. I was told it could take up to 8 weeks. I was told that we could start ttc after the first cycle and that is what we plan to do if AF ever shows up. There are several other ladies on here that have done the same thing. I am sorry I don't have any better answers for you but I'm sure some of the other ladies on here can give you better adivce. I hope you will join us and again I am so very sorry for your loss.

Hi Dana. I'm very sorry for your loss.
I had planned on having a natural M/C but I had a few problems, one happened to be excessive bleeding and I went into surgery for the D&C. After the D&C I bled lightly for 2 days and spotted for a very short time after that. My first cycle was 23 days after my D&C. It just started. I didnt really have any cramps until after it started. It was heavier than normal. Not scary heavy, but heavy.

Dana, im so sorry for your loss. I had a D&C last month but still no AF. I go an IUD placed though so that could also be why. It takes a bit longer to get af after D&C, but it should be roughly 6-8 weeks.
As for the bleeding, the rule is 20+ days of NO bleeding = next bleeding is AF.

Welcome to the board, Dana.
I'm very sorry for your loss. I didn't have a D&C, so I'm not of much help.
I'm glad the other ladies gave you the advice you needed!

Thanks for the replies ladies!
I wish that I didnt have to be here(no offense)but since I am I hope to make some really good friends that have been what I have been through and that understand and wont judge.
This miscarriage was extremely hard on me as it was our first and that it took us 2 1/2 years to conceive and then having to lose the baby at 15 weeks along really sucked.
So with that said my doc decided that since we already had 2 full term babies and this was in the second trimester and we had tried so long to conceive that she is going to do soem test.
It being almost 6 weeks after the loss I am doing better. Not that I dont think about my baby all the time but I am getting better at dealing with it. I was an emotional wreck up until last week haha.
With hubby being out of town for his job makes it really hard but I do tell myself that hopefully when he makes it back next week we can start attempting to trying again . Our first appt for testing is Aug 12 ( which Im suppose to go this week and get more blood draw for that appt ) so after that I can feel you ladies in with the verdit lol
Hugs B)

Hi Dana! I'm terribly sorry for your loss, but welcome to TTCAL! what the other ladies have said, this is a wonderful place to get back into the groove of TTC. I did have a d&c with my last loss, and my first af came around 27-28 days later. I second what Eleysia said, if you have a good period of not bleeding, then as soon as you start I would count it as af.
I hope your stay here is short, and you get that sticky bean soon!!

Well I'm glad that you found us and know that you can vent to anyone on here or just share what your feeling. We all have and that's why this board is so wonderful. Everyone has had a different experience but we all lost a part of us. I hope that the testing gets you some answers.
I also have an appt on Aug 12 with a new dr and going to go ahead and have a check up since it's been a year now. I'm glad you doing better. YOu will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. If you need anything, feel free to pm me. Hope you have a great rest of the day.

Dana. I am sorry to hear about your loss. I don't have any experience with a D&C, but my first 2 cycles after AF were a lot heavier than normal. My Dr. said that we could start to TTC again after 1 cycle.
Good luck, I look forward to getting to know you.

I'm sorry about your loss.
We started TTC after one cycle. We're not pregnant yet, but this is only my second cycle. I wish you nothing but luck!! These ladies here are very supportive and helpful. I didn't have a D&C, so I don't have any knowledge on that procedure.
