Well Ladies,

Tomorrow at 11 oclock, I have an appointment scheduled for the HSG. I am so nervous. I heard it is really painful then I heard it wasnt so bad. The nurse (1 of many) told me it is really painful. The doctor prescribed me anaprox to relax me and I have to come to work after the procedure. I already told everyone at work I wont be of much help if it is painful. I work in Labor and Delivery so I have access to all the physicians opinions if I need them. Well just thought I would let everyone know. Baby dust to all!!!

I recommend taking ibuprofen an hour before you have it done. Mine wasn't bad, just really crampy a few seconds when they first injected the dye. I even drove home afterwards.

Don't let them scare you! Mine was a lot less painful than I expected. Just a little *weird* feeling. Kinda crampy when they put the dye in... but not painful. I took Aleve before I went in, starting the night before. When it was done I felt 100% fine after. Well besides that black gunk coming out on the panty liner. EWW (Iodine I guess?)

Good luck and I hope you post tomorrow saying it was a piece of cake

Good luck girl! I had it done in May and I too was very scared. I didn't even wanna go to it lol, i got in there and they did it and it took a whole 5 min max from start to finish. The only pain i felt was a little cramps when they put the dye in and that lasted a whole 5 seconds. Good luck girl

aww girl i'm so sorry it was painful. I guess everyone is different, try and get some rest and feel better! I have heard that after you get an HSG you are pretty fertile for 2-3 months after that, my dr told me that when i had mine done.

Thanx ladies, I sure hope that is true about being fertile for 2 or 3 months after.... i am soo excited that I have gotten one thing out of the way. I went out today, bought some an ovulation kit and some pre-conceive (didnt get my 2 dollars off them punks) and I did something I dont know if it was good or bad but....I bought a baby outfit!!! It is sooo cute and I would have never bought it but it was 2 dollars!!! Walmart special!!! I couldnt help it! I was shopping for my friend who just had her baby and it just happened to be there. If Im not pregnant by october, I at least have 3 people to give it to! lol. Well anyways, just wanted to say thanx for your support ladies. I have been really emotional lately and I just am blessed to be able to get on here and vent or share my scares or worries with women dealing with or dealt with what I have been through! Thanx again.

Amber
