they say to read them within 5 minutes and the test line has to be darker or the same color as the control line. About the HSG, they usually do it before CD10 or CD12 at the latest, so if you normally O on CD14 then you should expect to, or if you ovulate later in your cycle like say around CD18 then you would O on that day. The HSG doesn't really change your cycle at all, its just a test and the only reason they do it in the beginning of your cycle is because if you are pregnant it would cause you to loose the baby if they did it. So it shouldn't change your cycle at all. Just keep using the OPK's and remember to DTD for 24-36 hours after getting a positive OPK. Good luck
