Cori still has the intermittent fever/vomitting/diarrhea. I'm about to pull out my hair. She got sick again last night after 2 days of being perfectly fine. Thursday was the same....really sick after 2 days of no symptoms at all. Her first vomitting was nearly 2 1/2 weeks ago. That was a much longer episode. The subsequent episodes have been only a few hours.

On a positive note, she turned 2 yesterday and we had a small party (before she got sick). I'll try to post some pics when we get back from the ped.

Poor Cori, give her a big hug for us please, and Happy belated B-day hunny!!!!!

Im not sure, but my son had similar things when he was younger. The docs couldnt figure out what was causing it but for 6 days straight (if it was 7 that would have diagnosed him with kawasaki's disease [he had all the symptoms besides 7 consecutive days of feever] he was vomiting, and had feevers so high (like 103-105 rectal) and chills from the feevers that I was so scared I was going to lose him. They never figured it out, but he wasnt holding down anything, fluids or food, it was so scary. I hope Cori gets better soon hun

I'm so sorry Cori is sick again. I hope the ped can give you some answers soon. Have they checked to see if maybe she had acid reflux? Haley had a period when she kept throwing up every few days when she was almost 2. They gave her something for acid reflux to take for a month. It helped. She didn't have any problems after that. G/L and KUP

Yep, had an episode like this with my son when he was roughly 16 months old. I can't remember everything, as that was 6.5 yrs ago, but eventually my doctors did stool samples. Have they done that on Cori yet? Sid had Rotavirus, and was so sick for about a month. He got sick, then he got really sick, then they got it diagnosed but he had gotten so bad that they hospitalized him for 48 hours for fluids. He had massive bouts of vomiting and diarhea, it seemed like it got to the point that it was non-stop. His poor b-hind got so bad that I had to bathe him after every diaper because I couldn't wipe him.

Good luck, hun! I hope they figure out what is going on, and get the poor little girl feeling better soon!!

Well, Cori seems to be feeling better again today. No fever. The doc says that it is most likely a stomach virus, but since it has been coming going they are going to test a stool sample for Cryptosporidium (and other things like Salmonella, Shigella, etc.) Apparently, there has been an outbreak of this in the waterpark in the next town over. Cori hasn't been there and doesn't go to daycare, but she's been around her cousin and some other kids who do go to daycare. Its a long shot, but they want to at least rule it out.

oh no my oldest tabitha just had that not to long ago, vomited for 2 days was fine for a week then all over again. it was a cycle
the dr. told us it was a virus and some actually take 8 weeks to get rid of
so thats why the vomiting was there and then gone
