Hey all, I thought I'd ask you since you have been through it...

I just had a miscarriage, literally. Started on Sunday and today's u/s revealed that the baby had gone already. I would've been 7 weeks today. The doctor told us to wait for one cycle before trying again...

But, how long will it be before I ovulate again? I have no idea... so I'd like to know if it can take months or simply weeks? We don't use protection, so either we don't have sex at all until my next period or we do have sex and possibly get pregnant before we're "supposed to"

I know this may sound too soon to be asking something like that, but... well, I'm just a bit worried that if it happens too soon, my uterus won't be ready and I'll have another miscarriage, which I really wish not to go through again

I'm so sorry about your lost, my herat breaks everytime I hear someone lost their baby. I was 8W 5D when I lost mine, I was told to wait 2 cycles. I did not Ovulate until I think it was my third cycle. I think it just depends. I hope this helps a little.

Welcome and i'm so sorry for your loss! I had my second loss back in December i m/c on Dec 12th and i O'd on Dec 27th, so it only took a couple weeks to get back to normal. I actually got pregnant that cycle. I ended up loosing that baby as well on Jan 21st, and i O'd again a couple weeks later. So i would say depending on your body it should only take a couple weeks to get back on track. Again i'm so sorry for your loss

Welcome to the board, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss!

I'm not sure if I O'd following my m/c in June 2007. I wasn't really keeping track of it then either.

Everyone is different, but you possibly could O within the next few weeks.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

I'm not 100% positive that I O'ed my first cycle after my m/c. To be safe you might want to use protection until AF arrives.

i was so sad to see your post in our ddc =(
but this board was so helpful when i had my m/c. you'll find it very supportive.
i'm not sure if i o'd right after my m/c (i had a d&c too) but af came 32 days later, so i went back to being pretty regular right after. i know some ladies get pg the cycle right after a m/c, and some don't o at all til the next cycle. i'd say wait 1 cycle, just to make sure.

First off, I am soo very sorry for your loss. I love this board and all the wonderful women but I hate when we have to welcome new ladies because it means another person has just had to go through what we have all been through. I am glad you joined us and I hope you will stick around. These are the most wonderful women in here and we are all here for support and encouragement and to help in any way we can.

As for ovulating after m/c, i did ovulate but it was about a month and a half after my m/c. AF didn't show up until cd 55. It is very possible for you to ovulate and get pregnant again before your next cycle. Good luck to you and I hope you get your sticky BFP soon.
