Hey girls, hope all my midwesterners are ok after last night's storm. We just got our power back on about 30 mins ago. Never realized how much I depend on electricity! Just want to make sure all is well with you Chicago area girls! I don't really know how to post pics but I will try to post some of my neighborhood, we got hit bad. Lots of down trees and crushed cars. It was scary

Now I'll go catch up on new posts

I saw the pictures and videos on the news this evening. I think I only heard of one fatality. I'm glad you're okay.

I hate tornadoes. I was always terrified of them. I grew up in Janesville, WI. It's about an hour and a half from Chicago.

I'm fine. I stayed down in my basement for about 30-40 minutes, but we only had our power flicker. That was one crazy storm, my mom said there was about 90,000 lightning strikes (that's ground to air) not counting the ones cloud to cloud in four hours. THat's 6 months worth of lightning in four hours. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/c...0,2543310.story

I was right between the tornado warning zones.

Im glad everyone is ok. Im not gonna lie... that sounds awsome. I feel bad for anyone who got hurt or lost someone/something but it still sounds cool to have watched.

I grew up in Oshkosh, WI and went to college in Madison!

And Eleysia, it was an AWESOME storm to watch, the lightning was like nothing I've ever seen. And all of our furniture on our rooftop deck flew all over the place. It was like I was watching a movie.

PS- I am just catching up on posts today, it's been a crazy week
