I figured Id ask since polls kinda make it a big secret who answered what unless you post it in the replys. I dont really intend for this to be a debate, just wondering how many folks will be voting.

Feel free and discuss tho if you wanna.

Obama will probably win, since there seems to be some really odd cling to him. However, I will not vote for Obama OR McCain. Both of them are huge flip floppers. I have NO idea what Obama's policies are and McCain is a crappy senator, so I won't even vote for him for President. I'm going for the Libeterian candidate because that guy actually makes SENSE! Bob Barr. I just will not vote Republican because John McCain is more liberal than anything and Obama is SCARY liberal. I just won't put my vote towards two whack jobs.

Plus, anyone who actually believes in all this global warming crap is not worth my vote. I can go on all day about this, but I don't want global warming band wagon jumpers to get angry.

I'm voting for McCain...I don't think he is the best Republican candidate we could have gotten, I just can't let a Democrat into the White House...they aren't very good friends of the military...

I'll vote for McCain. While he wasn't my first choice for Republican candidate, he also wasn't my last. If he picks Romney as his running mate, I'll run their whole campaign (well, if they would let me!).

I'm voting McCain, he's the lesser of two evils, IMO. That's my opinion on most politicians, by the time they get to this point in a race/election/career there's too much pressure and they're just not themselves anymore. I HATE all the bashing, usually by that time I'm ready to vote for neither, but you ladies that aren't voting (you silly gooses) you're make it easier for the candidate that you dislike to win. Who cares who you vote for, just vote against who it is you DONT want. That's what I'm doing in this case. Obama scares me, for many reasons. McCain might not be a great choice, but he's better than who I DONT want running my country.

I said if Hilary was elected I was moving to Canada! Thank goodness that option is out at least.

what Danielle said about the military too!

Sorry, so not debating, just stating opinion.

All I can say is I'm not very definite at all who I'm voting for, so I didn't vote in the poll. You didn't put an "I'm voting but don't have a clue who for" as a choice!

I'm voting and registered, I'm just really unhappy with my choices. I agree largely with a lot of what Jess was saying (especially about the idea that we cause global warming...don't get me started. It's definitely happening, but I don't believe we have much to do with it, or can stop it, or that it will be the end of the world like everyone says.)

I also agree with Danielle about the military aspect of things.

Ugh, I really don't know. I totally wish that Romney got the nomination instead. I could have felt good about voting for him. But I don't think I would feel good about voting for anyone available now. I will vote because I'd feel really guilty if I didn't, but I can't wholeheartedly back anyone.

I am voting for McCain. I am a very conservative republican and while McCain is too liberal for me and there are some stances I disagree with, I disagree with every viewpoint Obama has. The idea of Obama as president scares me.

I voted for Romney in the primaries and would love him on the VP ticket.

And, I agree with herpersmama that not voting is essentially giving your vote to the candidate you like the least!

I told my husband that we were moving to Australia if Obama gets elected. It really is a scary thought for me that he could be our next president.

too bad. lol. I honestly think that the Iraq situation is something that we're going to have to see through to the end. The thing that I'm afraid of is pulling out is going to make us subject of more terrorism on our terf. I'll take a few to several more years in Iraq (and mind you, I have FAMILY directly involved) over another 9/11

That is my fear with obama too. As much as I would love for our troops to be home, if we bring them home now, we bring the terrorists with them.

ITA with Brittanie!!

And I've said it before, though not on here, I don't consider us to be at war with Iraq. We are not there fighting the Iraqi people or their government, in fact we are working with their government to rebuild a stronger, safer Iraq. The fighting that is happening over there is due to the insurgents. They are at war with us.

Whether we truly had suspicions of WMD or not (and I think they were just better at hiding them than we were at finding them) I think invading Iraq was a good thing. We got Sadam out of power. Our country, our future and our children's futures are safer because of that.

And I too have several family members in the military, one of whom is going to Iraq in January.

Edited because I quoted the wrong post!

I am voting Obama. My thought is that truly, no one person is going to affect my day to day life TOO much, but I am totally voting for social values reasons. I want a liberal to be president so he (or even she ) can put more liberals on the Supreme Court. My one big hot topic is women's rights. Even with all the loss, grief and devastation I have gone through in not carrying a child to term, I firmly believe it is a woman's right to choose what is best for her and her body. I don't want to start a debate over pro-life/pro-choice. Each person is entitled to their own beliefs and value system.

I am a political junkie's worst nightmare. You can make any argument for any candidate and I will always come back to that one topic.
