This is only the second cycle that I've used them but I'm having a problem. Is it normal to have 'light positives' that never go dark for days in a row? The last cycle I used them, I was on Clomid so I thought that was my issue. I called the RE and even went in for b/w on Wed but they said my numbers weren't up enough yet and either way to call in on Friday and go for more b/w.

This makes me feel more broken than I already felt. Any input would be appreciated.

I have a love/hate relationship with OPK's

What brand are you using? What CD's did you do them on? Can you post pics?

Some brands I never got a positive... and I Oed. Some brands I get positive's for up to a week. Internet Cheapies give me one positive right before I O.

OPK's are fun... but I woulodn't put a whole lotta faith in them

I'm not sure of the brand name, but it's whatever the RE tells me I HAVE to use. I started on CD 11, today is CD 14 (I usually O on CD 13). And I can't post pics at least during the day cuz I have to do them at work to be at the RE right away if I'd ever get my positive.

I wouldn't use them at all but I need an estimate for my b/w to confirm so I can have my IUI done.

I'm sorry you are having problems with the OPK's. I wish I had some advice to offer but I don't use them anymore. I used them one cycle and they drove me crazy so I don't even bother with them anymore. G/L though and hopefully somone one here can get you the answers you are looking for.

I have used them a lot and until yesterday I have never gotten a real posative. I would get nothing and then a faint line for 2 days and then Bam ther it was a posative. I never got a posative before that though that includes previuos cycles. I also use and ovuscope. I I got full ferning too so I do think I am Oing. I would combine OPKs with lots of other signs cm, ..... Good luck. Oh and I am usuing answer OPKs I hate the blue ones.

So I remembered to check out the name of the OPKs I'm using (as I brought them home to test over the weekend) and they are OvuQuick 9 day supply. I called the RE again today since I still hadn't gotten a true positive and they asked me to come in for b/w again. So now I'm out $544 so far (2 b/w). They called me about 25 minutes before I left work for the day to tell me that the RE has reviewed my results and I'm not surging yet and that I haven't ovulated. I'm to test over the weekend. If I get a BFP over the weekend, call...and if I still don't get anything by Monday call again to dish out another $272 for yet MORE b/w.

Before Kairi, I was a CD13 O'r and since my loss, my cycles have been as normal as they can be after loss. I don't know what my body is doing. This is all upsetting and frustrating me. I feel totally broken now though the OBs are telling me that my loss was a fluke and shouldn't happen again. I've tried to not let it get to me but it's just not happening.

I did save my OPK from this morning, if I can find working rechargable batteries for the cam I'll try to take a pic to post.

Thanks for letting me vent (as I sit here in tears from total frustration).

I would have to say neither are positive, if you have problems getting a positive you might wanna try and different brand next cycle. I know answer brand worked well for me and you get 20 for like 20 bucks, also the internet cheapies are great ones too.

I would also suggest another brand. When I was on Clomid I didnt O till CD 15 so it might just be a little early still. Are you only taking 1 a day or two. Its good to take one in the morning and one in the afternoon or evening. You may surge in the evening and not catch it on an OPK if your only taking them in the mornings. I used Internet cheap OPK's on my last cycle and I thought they were pretty good. I hope you get a postive test really soon so all the confustion goes away for you.

Thanks for the responses ladies. I think I am going to try a different brand name next cycle regardless what the RE says (unless I accidentally catch the eggie this cycle of course). I've only been testing in the morning as that's what I've been told to do by the RE but with cheaper OPKs, I'd be willing to test 2 times a day.

I hope everything works out for you. Did your RE ask you to temp during the Clomid cycles? Mine did and it helped pin point O.

I'm not doing Clomid this cycle, it's supposed to be a natural cycle. When I did do Clomid though, they never mentioned anything about temping. I'll ask them about it when I talk to them on Monday.
