Hi everyone, I wanted to introduce myself:

I am 38, married 9 years, TTC for 7 years total, pregnant once but pre-term labor/delivery at 23weeks. This is my 3rd month on clomid, we may be doing an IUI this month, so we are excited.

Anyone else been trying for so long?? We are considered unexplained infertility.

Welcome to TTCAL.

My name is Jessica and I'm married to Heath. We've been married a little over a year. We started TTC in June 2007. We have been pregnant twice, but both of those pregnancies ended in miscarriages.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

The ladies here are very nice and supportive. I haven't been TTC as long as you. One of the other ladies might be of more help.

Im sorry you lost your child. Its a horrible thing to have happen. Im glad you found us here though.

Im Eleysia, recently separated from my husband, and not TTC right now. I have a 2 y/o son (handsom devil lol), and am dating my best friend of 9.5 years. Even though we are not planning on having a child anytime soon, he also has a 2 y/o son who is a handsom little man as well, so essientally i have 2 boys . Its exactly how many kids I wanted, and even though it isnt how I planned, its still wonderful.

I hope your stay here is short but sweet, and that you get your sticky healthy bean very soon

Welcome to TTCAL! Im your other co-host, i've been here since Jan after i went through my second m/c. All these ladies are great here and i don't know what i would have done with out them. We are curentlly not TTC anymore, but we did try for 6 months before we stopped and suffered two losses in that time. We were all set up to have the IUI done, but after some marraige problems we decided not to do it and wait until December. I'm sure there are a few ladies here that can be a bigger help

I'm sorry for you loss as well!

Welcome! I'm Tracy married to Dave. We have my DD Tai from my first marriage, she's 9.

I lost my second daughter at 20w1d in May due to full placental abruption. This is my first cycle TTC since our loss and we are TTCWMA. I am an IUI girl, so if you have any questions, I can try to help you out. If I can't, the ladies in the TTCWMA forums usually can.

BUT the ladies here are great and wonderful! May your time here but short and sweet.

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome!!!
I am so sorry for all of your losses!!
It's nice to have a place to come to where we all know the pain of losing something so precious. It has been difficult to talk to friends and family, they think that this is something that I should have "gotten over" by now, they just don't understand, I tell them that old saying... "When you lose your parents, you lose your past, but when you lose a child, you lose your future" and that is what our daughter was to us, our bright and glorious future. Since the day I found out I was pregnant she was part of our plans, buying a bigger house, redecorating, shopping, vacations.......we were planning everything around her, then one day, out of nowhere, when we didn't expect it all our plans and hopes and dreams just vanished, we were left to pick up the pieces of what could have been, what should have been, and try to start over.

Right now I am dealing with feeling like a failure every month, my husband is understanding and tries to convince me that I am not a failure, but it's just something I have yet to come to grips with. Any suggestions??

Thanks for listening!!!

Welcome! I am so sorry for your loss. ((HUGS))

DH and I have been TTC since January 2000. In these eight years we've had one chemical pg, 6 failed IUIs, one failed IVF, one successful adoption in 2002, one successful pregnancy in 2004, and a miscarriage this year. We, too, were dx with unexplained infertility, and my m/c this year brought back a lot of the feelings of failure you mentioned.

A book that helped me alot was Dr. Richard Marr's Fertility Book. It goes over a lot of the tests and treatments, but also has a lot of info on the emotional aspect of IF. It helped me a lot, especially to understand WHY I felt like a failure.

I don't post a ton, but feel free to PM me any time. I wish you lots of luck!
