Update:

I took another test and it was negative. I was really hoping for a real period between pregnancies so the negative is a good thing. Now I just need my period to start so I can figure out my cycle!

**********************************

So, I posted earlier that I took a test earlier just to be sure and it was negative. Well, I only waited for about a minute, it didn't change (every time I've been pregnant it's changed right away) so I walked away and went about my day. I was just in the bathroom and was going to throw it away when I notice a 2nd line.

It's faint, but definitely there. I made my neighbor look at the test to be sure I wasn't seeing things. But it's hours after I tested. It's probably and evap line right?

Could it still be hormones from my stillbirth a month ago?

Could be an EVAP. I say you test again just to see.

As for the hormones being left over, did you see your doctor after your stillbirth to have your blood drawn? It could also be left over from that.

I'm sorry hun, I wish I could help more.

Most tests say not to use results after 10 minutes. I don't know what kind of test you were using though. It could have just been an evap line.

No, my ob said I didn't have to come back in.

My neighbor had a spare test so she gave that to me which I plan to take tomorrow with FMU

It was a cheapy test from the 99 cent store

Oh, okay.

Well, keep your eye on that test tomorrow. If you get another faint 2nd line, make an appointment to see your doc to get some blood drawn.

Definitely test again. You can't trust results after 10 minutes.

The $ store tests have always given me horrible evaps.

One question to answer is does it look pink, or is it gray/brown? If it's gray or brown, it's probably an evap.

As for the hormones...I really don't know.

Good luck honey!

I kept testing after I gave birth. I am a poasa and my dollar store tests stayed positive for about 5 weeks, it finally went negative and then af came. It all depends on what your body is doing. Some women O the first month, but I don't think I did. Some take 4-12 weeks to get their first af. So its really hard to say. But if you keep testing and the line gets darker than it would be time to call the dr. and have blood test done to confirm that the numbers are going up.

I have had several evaps on the dollar store tests too. I don't fully trust them.

I'm glad the test was negative. Now AF is on her way, and like you said, you can figure out your cycle.
