I cant believe this crap actually happens....
A couple years ago I was working at meijer on the midnight shift, a lil embarrassed to admit my previous occupation but hey, well I was working by picking up trash in the parking lot and I heard a cry. I am a mother so I knew the cry wasnt of an infant or a grown child. I found what car it was coming from, it was actually a toddler crying in the car in 90 degree weather!!!! I ran to the door, all windows closed, doors locked! I called the police immediately and I called into my manager!! The mother came out of the store with HER 2 OTHER CHILDREN!!!! It was sooo obvious it was intentional i wanted to throw up!!!!!!! My dumb *** manager allowed her to leave before the police got there and thank god I got the license plate number before she did so!!! I am not sure what happened to the mother if they actually arrested her or what but everytime I go out to a store and I hear a child crying in the parking lot I get paranoid.

That is horrible! Why don't people make their children their #1 priority?

This stuff makes me want to vomitt. Its so sad for us who want kids, or even us who have them and make them #1 of everything. I wish someone would lock these parents in the car with no way out and let them see how it feels to die of heat exaustion.

This absolutely heart-breaking and devastating. I can't beleive people are so ignorant. They knew better and I can't beleive they might possibly get away with this. Whether they claim it was an accident or not, they are still responsible for their death of their own child. This infuriates me. When someone has a car wreck and kills someone, they can be charges with manslaughter so what is the dang difference. URG....some people shouldn't even be allowed to have children.

This makes me so sad! I've seen the same thing happen twice in the last month alone around Houston. How can you "forget" you child is in the car? Like Eleysia said, the parents need to be locked in the hot car all day!

Just wanted to add, now that I've cooled down a bit. This is something that they will have to bear for the rest of their lives. I cant imagine being responsible for someones death, let alone my own child. I truly believe that if we as man do not punish them... they will get whats coming eventually.

I'd like to be able to say, "OMG how terrible!!!"
However, this kind of crap happened NUMEROUS times in Phoenix every summer. It made me want to vomit. I'm glad I don't live there anymore. I'm sure this happened a couple of times already. If parents are not leaving their kids in the cars, they aren't watching them around the pool. Do you want to know how many kids, on average, drown in a Phoenix pool EVERY summer?!
I won't even tell you, because it will make you guys sick. The parents want a pool with their over excessive houses, yet they don't want to spend the money to make it safe.

My heart breaks for the little girl who died like that. I have a hard time understanding how no one noticed the child wasnt in the house for 3 hours. I know if I dont see my six year old for a few minutes I am calling for her/looking for her.

Something just like this happened when i was home visiting my mom, i think regardless if they"forgot", i don't buy that for one second. I mean i have two kids and i would never forget they were in the car with me EVER. I think these people should have their other children taken away and be put in jail. Because they are stupid an innocent child had to die!

I'm from the York area too, and was just shocked that this happened! How can you forget your baby in the car? According to what I heard on the news this morning, at this time, no charges are going to be made, because they truly believe it was an accident. These people are going to have to live with the guilt of what they did for the rest of their lives. I'm still not sure what to think of it all...

Wow, I see you live in Red Lion as well...VERY small world.
I'm really torn, part of me wants them charged with criminal negligence. BUT part of me thinks, they are going to have to live with this for the rest of their lives. Either way, there is absolutely NO excuse for this happening.

What a heartbreaking ordeal. I don't even know what to think. I have heard a couple stories like this this summer. I just don't get it.
