So I have an IUD as most of yall know.

About 2 weeks ago (i think) i had pretty severe cramping and abdominal pains, i even posted about it. Well I woke up with the same thing this morning. Ive also had very constant backpain (not sure if they are related). So now im wondering if DTD possibly is irritating my stupid IUD and causing spotting and pain. Its pretty slight spotting.. mostly when I wipe, or a tiny bit of pink-ish cm. Does this sound possible or am I nuts?? About the backpain... it started about hmmm..... 3 or so weeks ago and I have it all the time . I just dont know what to think.

Maybe you should talk to your dr who put the IUD in. If that's what's causing the problems maybe they have a solution to fix it. I hope you get some answers honey! That is no fun I'm sure! KUP

Don't worry you still have a couple (ok a couple plus 5) of years before you say that "I'm just getting old"

Where is the backpain? Could it be kidney pain at all? It kind of sounds like what I get with a UTI/kidney infection

Alicia its lower back pain. I guess technically it could be in my kidney areas. it radiates to the point im not sure if its all pain in my back or 50/50 between my abdomine and back.

I know nothing at all about IUDs, but your issues are not making me want to get one (and I was thinking about it afterwards). I hope your doctor gets back to you soon!!!

Ok so i asked some friends what they think. We all work in the medical feild and the general consensus is kidney stones they said thats exactly what they think it is.

It happened about 2 weekes ago, severe pain like now and then stopped. I have dizzyness and neasua (sp) that go with it. Im going to go into sick call tomorrow morning to have it checked out. I cant justify sitting in the er all night just to have them tell me that ill just have to wait for it to pass

Jen dont be discouraged about the Mirena i am assuming this isnt related. i like my IUD alot.

So the verdict was kidney stones for sure. Last night I felt the pain move from my flanks to my front of my lower abdomin. I can still feel where it is inside me when i move or twist my body. Good news is i think its in my bladder now, and it doesnt hurt nearly as bad. Now i just have to see if i pass it or not.

I feel a million times better today, and guess what.... no back pain lol. Guess we figured it out!

thank you all for your kind thoughts, and ty Michelle for checkin up on me too.
