But I was wondering what is classed the normal length of time of ttc before getting a bfp? Does that make sense?

I hope I'm not getting your question wrong...I don't know if there is a normal length of time, I think some people a re lucky and they get a bpf right away and some have more trouble.

This is from amazingpregnancy.com
"· Just 25% of couples actively trying to conceive become pregnant the first cycle.

· 60% become pregnant in the first six months of trying to conceive.

· 75% of couples become pregnant within nine months.

· 90% of couples experience pregnancy within 18 months."

Errr, I really don't think there is a "normal" time. Some people seem to get lucky (they have no idea how lucky they are), and some people have to work harder. It's like school (sort of), some people are just gifted intellectually, and some people have to work harder.

If you are under 35 you are supposed to TTC for 1 year before seeking medical assistance. If you are over 35 they will generally see you and begin testing at the 6 month mark.

My Dr. is only willing to test to see how many eggs I have left. She said otherwise she won't refer me to the fertility clinic for a year. I hope I geta BFP before that!
