I got a call that my sister is in labor this morning. She is about to give birth for the second time in a year! both of her babies had due dates that were close to my miscarriages. I am just feeling like crap over this, I am normally ok but feeling really raw now. My dh is not getting what one thing has to do with the other. I am not using OPK's because he thinks they are a waste of time and money and that we will have another baby when God decides its time. I am pretty sure I missed ovulation this month I had some cramping and heavy CM last night and we havent DTD in 2 days. So prob no BFP for me again.

OPK's are not a waste of money, i actually think they are great! I'm sorry your DH feels that way, maybe you can order some and not tell him lol. thats what i would do. I hope its not AF coming and its just a little cramping you get in early pregnancy! Good luck!

I'm sorry. It must be a hard thing to go through.

I agree with the OPK's though. If you are buying those AND pregnancy tests... yeah, it gets pretty pricey. I just rely on my CM. However, do whatever makes you feel comfortable. Spend your own money on OPK's if you want to use them. That way DH can't get upset about it. That's what I would do anyway. Put aside $20 every month just for your OPK's. I have no idea how much OPK's typically cost, since I don't pay attention to them. I would think $20 would be enough.

im so sorry hun.
i used to think opks were a waste of money (i never got pos opks until last cycle) but now i know i would use them again.
dtd 2 days ago still gives you a chance anyway so dont worry too much. right now you just need to get through this heartache.
chin up hun
xx

I'm sorry today is a tough day for you. I hope you will get a stickey BFP in the near future.

I would sit down and talk with DH and let him know that it is important for a woman to understand her body, and that OPK's can help you with that. Also, when you are TTC after a loss, you made need the extra re-assurance that OPK's can offer.

I'm sorry that you are having a rough day.

I love using OPK's. Some of them are pricey - but I ordered 80 of them online last month for $15! That should last me a few cycles.

Thanks everyone! We have used OPK before, it took us 2.5 years to concieve our first. We have never used any form of BC in 12 years and only have three living children. I think we are both terrified to get pregnant again but really want a baby. After having a HUGE fight because I was a miserable b*&^h , we talked about it. Still not sure what to do but at least we know that we are both scared about going through another loss.

I'm glad you got a chance to talk things out and now understand the way each other feels. TTCAL can be a scary process for both people.

After YEARS of TTC I think my dh is sick of the pressure!, kwim? He feels likes if we use OPK's then we will HAVE to do it that night and he doesnt want it to be that way. After we talked he agreed to let me get some kits, I probibly wont tell him when its + just be extra friendly on those days. lol
