My doc just called with the results of the genetic tests on the baby. The baby was genetically abnormal, with 3 sets of chromosomes instead of 2. It was a boy. So that means that this m/c was most likely unrelated to my two early losses. I guess it is good news....as far as my odds of having a healthy baby in the future. I may even be TTC after AF comes, but we'll see. I think I'll POAS today and make sure it is neg...if it isn't, I won't expect AF this weekend.

Anyone had similar test results? What did your doc say? Mine has been kinda vague, but I suppose that is because of the two unexplained early m/c.

Thanks.

I'm glad that your loss wasn't related to your other losses. Since my m/c was my first I opted for no testing.

Sorry for your loss, but glad it seems to be unrelated.

This was my first loss, and honestly I don't even remember the option of testing.

I'm glad you have gotten answers. I think having clear answers puts peoples minds at ease knowing that it was not thier fault that it happened.

We had a pathology report done also. Unfortunately, the pathologist couldnt find any "products of conception". So we didnt get any clear answers. However almost immediately after loss I knew what happened to cause this for us. But still having the pathologist say that they couldnt find anything, especially since I saw the ultrasound in the OR just before I went under for the DNC, and I knew the baby was still there. My doctor called me after the DNC and wanted to do another ultrasound to make sure everything was gotten or that nothing was missed, but I declined. I knew it was gone. It was very upsetting to have them not find our baby. It left me thinking, did they loose it, did it get thrown away by mistake?

I'm glad that you got some answers Kelly! I'm still so sorry you lost your little boy, but atleast you now know why. When I had my d&c and testing done, everything came back fine; so we still don't know the exact cause of my losses. That was disappointing, I'd rather have a reason any day of the week than to just wonder why.

Anyway, I hope that when you do get back to TTC that you get your sticky BFP quickly!
