hi all, ok i just want to clarify cause i'm hearing conflicting info...

i will ask my dr. on my followup appt, but thought i'd ask here too...

when they tell you to wait a cycle after the m/c before ttc again, do they mean???

m/c, cycle, AF - OK to ttc again OR
m/c, cycle, AF, cycle, AF - OK to ttc again???

I believe it's ok after your first AF after the miscarriage. So, M/C-AF-Ok to start TTC again. I think that is right. I think every Dr is different. I know there are some people that never get AF after m/c. They immediately get pregnant. I hope this helps hun.

I think they want you to wait a cyle after your miscarriage. Believe it or not i got pregnant right after my miscarriage. I lost the baby in the middle of sept an got pregnant the begining of october. So I wish you the best of luck

Yep, it's: M/C-Cycle-TTC. Because that at point, the doc can properly date the pregnancy.

its m/c, cycle, AF - OK to ttc again...although i have been ok-ed to start straight after my MC i guess its cause i was only 5 weeks

My Dr said I could start trying the after I got AF. (But I do plan to discuss this with him on Monday at my follow up and make sure I understood correctly)

But if your Dr said wait a cycle, I might think that meant don't try the first cycle after the m/c. So basically have a whole cycle between m/c and TTC again. (Which I believe is your first option m/c, cycle, AF, start to TTC)

But with the misunderstanding in wording, he may mean what my Dr means. I've read alot about it, looking for "the best" advice on when I can start trying again. And it's really all over the place: You can start immediately after AF, wait a cycle, wait 2-3 cycles, wait 6 cycles........
