This is my first cycle after my d&C. I've been temping and checking for ovulation with the ovulation kits. I haven't seen a spike in tempeture and I noticed that my test stripes even thou they show a faint line, as the days go by insted of the line getting darker it's actually getting lighter. What does this mean? Does this mean I won't be ovulationg this cycle? Any Suggestions?

What CD are you on? You might just be having delayed ovulation.

i'm of no help but wondering the same thing. i am waiting for AF to start ttc again and i was also wondering if d&c could delay ovulation...

I'm on cd 14 but what concerns me is that the line keeps getting lighter instead of darker. That's never happened to me before.

my opks are usually all over the place. i'll get medium dark line on CD14 and then on CD15 i'll get almost NO second line and then on CD 16 i'll get a faint line and then on CD17 i'll get a positive. so you can't really think the line will keep getting darker. it measures LH hormone and there are different levels of LH in your body at different times of the day. i've also heard m/c's can change your cycles, NOT throw them off, but change them... we'll see i guess... good luck girl!

THanks Lynda. I hate to say it but I think this month is a bust. I've been taking my temp in the mornings and my numbers are all over the place. We'll see what happens.

Is this the cycle OF the D&C? Or the cycle right after it? Do you have a chart?

Sometimes with opk's I miss my surge. So the line will get darker and darker, but never positive, and then the lines will be negative. I can tell my temps that I ovulate, but I find a hard time catching my surge. I usually have to test around 3 times a day to catch my surge. The first time I caught my surge I had tested at 7pm, and the second line was dark, but not as dark as the control. I tested again at 10pm and it was a dark positive. If I hadn't tested a few hours later, I never would have caught my surge. Now I don't use them because of that. But if you have a chart, I would love to see, to see if there's a pattern. Your temps being all over the place make me think it could be an annovulatory cycle.

Hi Barbie - I tried to check out your chart, but when I clicked on the link it sent me to my chart. Try this - on FF where you up-date your temps, click on the Home Page Set-up button next to enter period/signs button. there should be a link on that page right under "Your Charting Home Page Web Address:" Try copying that link and pasting it.

Good luck with this cycle. I'm sorry the OPK's are giving you confusing results.
