well, the bad news is actually good as well i guess, he has put me back on anti depressants. ive been off them for over a year but my moods lately have been too much (i can be shouting at someone then suddenly burst into tears and then laugh within 2 mins )
he has put my on a low dose so if i get pregnant then it wont cause problems but enough to just help tip things my way.
also... this is the good news.....
i have managed to convince him to run some tests to find out why im Oing on cd5 and cd6!!!!
he tried to say that maybe ive just been under a lot of stress so the later Oing is due to that and what im getting now is normal. as i pointed out to him, if that is the case then there is even more of a problem because i have been Oing cd10 and if thats delayed by stress and cd5 is normal for me then something needs doing and soon!
so, in 2 weeks time (just before i leave for manchester) i am getting some blood tests done i am not sure what they are but he says they should give me some answers one way or the other (even if its just to say im not going through early menopause il be happy)
he still doesnt want me to have any more children but to him!
xx

That's great news! I was wondering how your appointment was going. Why doesn't he want you to have more kids? He seems kind of nosy to me!

none of my doctors want me to have any more children yet none of them can find a contracetive that works for me
i have 5 children but i also have health problems (epilepsy, endometriosis and asthma as well as intermitent depression), ive been with mark for 1 year and he has 4 boys and health issues.
the fact is we both want another child, one together, we both have the love and commitment to give that child. we have enough space and can provide for one and although we have health issues, they are mostly under control and we dont have extra care for them as we are each others support.
our children dont suffer from any of it and neither would another so i dont understand why my doctors are a pain. the funniest part of it.... the female one who wants me to have my tubes tied because "i have enough children and im not married" is due her 3rd baby in less than a month (6th october) and her eldest is at nursery with my dd so is only just 3, shes unmarried and actually hardly even talks to her partner! he moved out 9 months ago!!! hypercrit!
ok, off my soap box now!

I think that they have a right to their medical objections, but ultimately the decision is yours and they should be helping you. That is their job, isn't it? As for "you have enough children and you aren't married".... Who does she think she is? Who decided how many children is enough, and where did they write that down? As for not being married, is she a time travelling puritan? Sheesh. I had my son when DH and I weren't married. He is almost four and DH and I only got married in February. Big deal, we were still good parents to him. She needs a kick to the pants, if you ask me.

Well YAY for a productive doctor appointment, Sarah!!! I hope the meds help you feel better soon! And big HURRAH for have some blood work done!!! I'll be praying that you gets some answers that will help you get that sticky bean that you and Mark would so love.
As for the doctors, poo on them. I agree with Laurie! They are allowed their professional opinions, but their personal ones have no place in their treatment of you. NONE!

I am glad that you had a good appointment and that your doctor is willing to help you out!
It frustrates me very much when doctors feel that it is there place to involve themselves unnecessarily in your personal life, although my doctor does it as well. I might understand it if you were in a position where you could not support or properly care for the child you were trying to concieve, but if there only complaint is that you aren't married and that you have enough children already, that is completely unfair. Sheesh!

I'm glad your appt went well and they are going to run tests to try to figure out your early O'ing. I agree with the others though that how many children you have is none of their business.

Im glad that they are slightly more willing to help. If you ask me they have a terrible bedside manner! Im in the medical feild and you NEVER let your personal opinions interfer with treatment!!

I glad your appointment went good, and I hope you'll get some answers about Oing early.
Your Docs are a little up in your business, and not in a medical way!!! Shame on them. They are supposed to be their to help you, not to pass judgement on you.

I'm glad that the Dr. has agreed to run some tests. Why wouldn't they if you are O'ing so early?
As for their personal opinions, keep them to themselves!
Good luck Sarah!

thank you ladies.
patty i tried to pm you sweety but it kept coming up as an error
eleysia, im loving the new siggy sweetheart youre soooo pretty
i told mark about it last night and he says that even though they will do the blood tests, we have a feeling that if there is a problem, they still wont be willing to help sort it unless its causing severe health issues and unfortunatly i agree with him. im hoping whatever it is will be something to do with my pain though and the cysts and then they have to do something.
i really cant wait to finally start getting them to look into what is causing this. im on cycle 13 now (i thought it was 12) so its been going on long enough.
thanks for all the support you wonderful women
xxx
