I know not all of us are from the US here, but I just wanted to extend the oppurtunity to take a moment to remember what happen. Today is the 7th anniversary of when the planes struck the buildings and killed alot of people, and chaged everyone's lives forever.

p.s. yes im still MIA and yes i did take the picture.

Being one of those not from here, I can say that this day still has an impact on me. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing. I will keep the family affect by this in my t&p.
Eleysia, that's a beautiful picture.

I have to stop myself from thinking about it because everytime I do I start bawling. I feel so bad for their families and everyone that went through all that that day. Lets not forget those that lost their lives on the plane that stuck the pentigon (sp) or those that fought to safe more lives on the flight that crashed in Penn.

How pretty Eleysia!

I did this in the car on the way to work this morning. That's what I was doing when I heard the first news about the attacks 7 years ago. I had just dropped ds off at daycare and was heading to work. I kept thinking, this has got to be a joke, it's got to be a mock-disaster scenario going on the radio. I was absolutely shocked when I got to work and everyone was gathered around televisions and radios listening to the horrific news. I will never, never, forget that day; or those people!

I thought it was a new movie being previewed when I saw it on the t.v. at school. Their judgements are coming, and I hope I'm alive to see it happen.

My heart goes out to the families who lost loved ones and friends on this horrid day.

I've posted about it in several different places. I'm with Angie, I bawl every time I think about it. Not just today...always. I don't have any family that was affected, we're all out west, but it still shakes me up to this day.

I will say another prayer for the families. Even the ones of the terrorists, although I'm sure they view it differently.

I also think about the troops over in Irac that are fighting because of that horrible day. My cousin is over there for the 2nd or 3rd time now and I feel for all the families with loved ones over there fighting for our country. I remember what I was doing that day. I was getting ready for work and had to rip myself from the tv just to make it to work on time and then spent most of the day listening to the radio just to see what was all going on. Ok I have to stop now

I didnt mean to leave anyone out I also have friends who never made it home because of a war we are chasing that was triggered by this event. Its horrible to think that a handful of people with terrible intentions shook the entire world in just a few moments.

Its just such a sad event.

I'm so sorry for all the families who lost loved ones on this day. I also still remember where I was that day. I was getting Direct Tv installed in my apt and the service guy asked if I heard what had happened, so I turned on my radio and woke up my roommate of the time to tell him.

On a slightly more upbeat note, today 7 years ago.....my divorce was finalized from my ex.

Thanks for posting this, Eleysia. I can't believe it was 7 years ago already. I remember it like it was yesterday, I was in high school, and a guidance office runner, I had to deliver a msg to the World Cultures teacher, they had the tv on in that class and I ran back to the office to tell everyone. I will never forget the look on that teacher's face - I walked in, looked at the teacher, looked at the tv, and just knew, there would be a war.

I am so proud of those who risk their lives and joined our armed forces (my little brother included). I think of those who lost their lives in that awful attack all the time. Wow, this brings up alot of emotions.
