Is having her baby today!!! He just called to tell me. She's dilated to 4, and her water broke about 3 hours ago. Now I just wish I was in New Jersey so I could be there! I don't even know when I'll get a chance to see the baby!

But I'm going to be an AUNT! The best part is it's a boy, so my Dad's name is going to be carried on for at least one more generation. Dad had one brother, but he only had girls and Dad only had one boy so he was the only chance for the name to carry on.

Joshua was born at 10:23 EST via emergency c-section because of fetal distress. He weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces!

can you tell I'm a proud aunt?

You know.... I just might have to take a short trip back east soon. I'd have to go by myself, because there is no way I can afford to take everyone, but Matt tells me all the time that if I need to go home to visit he'd keep the kids here so I can go for a few days. Before I moved out here the longest I was ever away from home was 3 weeks. This time, it's been 19 months. Maybe in a few weeks. We'll see.
