Hi I'm Tanya (21) engaged mommy to Mattea (18 months) and an Angel, Damian. I've been kinda hanging out in the WTTC forum but I feel guilty any time I mention my loss because I don't want to scare people. I would feel alot more comfortable hanging out with other mommies of angels as I wait to ttc. Would that be alright?? DF and I plan on trying again in January and I can't waait!

Thanks! and I'm very sorry for your loss.
We lost our son at 21 weeks. We found out at our 20 week scan (at 19.1 weeks) that he had no limbs at all. Not even stubs - not enough for prosthetics even. We really had no choice but to end the pregnancy because he would have Zero quality of life. It was horrible I was induced at 21 weeks. We then found out that the condition 'could' be genetic and if it is we have a 1 in 4 chance of recurrence so we're pretty scared but trying to think positive about ttc again. I'm going to be a wreck the whole time though, I Just know it.

Thanks again everyone for the warm welcome to the board
It was and continues to be really difficult, and so unexpected. I take such good care of myself while pregnant I never thought anything like that would ever happen to me, you know? I'm really trying to stay positive and keep telling myself that even if it IS genetic..we already know we're capable of perfection because my DD is AMAZING! Plus it's a 75% chance of a completely normal/healthy baby. We want another baby so badly, DD needs a little brother or sister to play with

I am so sorry for you loss! That must have been a heart wrenching decision.
Technically I am WTTCAL because I'm waiting for AF to come. I'm still in my cycle after my D&C. Best of luck to you.

Tanya, I'm so glad to see you here. I was posting here in TTCAL for 3 months before we actually started TTC (which, was basically right when I joined JM). I needed the time to "get used" to the idea of actually trying again. And I started posting in PAL before I actually finished my last month of bcp because I needed to "get used" to the idea of actually being pregnant again.
It always makes me feel good to see one of the loss ladies posting here because I think it shows a step further towards healing.
I'll be praying for you that Damian's problem was a one-time thing!

Welcome Tanya. My name is Kimberley, we are in our 5th cycle of TTC after our loss in April.
I was saddened by Damien's story. It is truly heartbreaking. However, like you said, you will have a 75% chance of a "perfect" baby like your DD.
I look forward to getting to know you.
