I don't know if this is normal or not. My AF this month has been horrible. First of all, I spotted from O until AF started at 9dpo. The first 2 days were light, then medium, and now the past 2 days have been heavier than heavy. I am soaking through a super plus tampon every 1-2 hours, sometimes I can go 3, and I am passing a lot of clots, some are the size of grapes. Last night I went to bed at 11pm and woke up at 3am, and had soaked through a super plus tampon, my underwear, and my sweatpants, it was horrible and grosse. I am a little concerned, as this has only been happening since my loss last year, although this one seems to be the worst one yet. I never had AF's like this before then. They used to be, AF at 11-12dpo, first day medium, second day heaby, third day medium, and then 2 light days followed by spotting. I know, I looked through my FF history, I've been charting since 2002! What do you think is going on? I have an appt with my gyn the first week in nov, but should I get in sooner? I also feel so pale and weak from all the bleeding.

if you are bleeding that heavy then you could be low on iron which unfortunatly will cause you to bleed more (i only know because im on iron meds because of it)
personally if you havent eased by monday i would get an appointment with your doctor to have that checked and he may give you something to ease it too.
i am having the same this month. i thought since af arrived on cd17 it would be light but i had light med med heavy heavy where as even on a normal cycle i would have been done or just spotting by now
our bodies are stupid!
keep us posted if you go to docs hunny
xx

Please get into your doc sooner. Like Sarah said, I'd be worried about your iron. You can go to the grocery store at get iron supplements and take them a couple times a day and you'll feel a million times better. When I m/c, before I could get into surgery for the D&C, I was in a pool of blood, they had to keep changing the bedding at the hospital, my hemoglobin levels went from 14 down to 8 in the matter of hours. I felt so weak, but within an hour of taking an iron supplement, I felt so much better.

Good luck hun, I'm sorry you're going through this!
